As Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, it gives me great
pleasure to welcome you to the 26th Atlantic Craft Trade Show. This
trade show is a cooperative effort of the governments of the four
Atlantic Provinces and is a good example of how governments and
the business community can work together. Our aim is to build a
prosperous and vibrant industry which contributes significantly to
the economy of the Atlantic region.
The products offered here are of the highest quality and represent the diversity of products
that Atlantic Canada has to offer the world. I am confident that you will be impressed by
the wide range of craft, apparel and gift products being presented at this show.
My thanks to the craft, gift and apparel producers whose artistry and entrepreneurial
skills continue to create new and innovative products. I also offer my thanks to the
many buyers from Canada, the United States and Europe who ensure that the craft
products of Atlantic Canada are available to markets world wide.
Finally, thank you to the Atlantic Craft Trade Show Board of Directors for staging this
worldclass event and for recognizing, through its industry achievement awards, the
