The Invacare Flo-tech Image cushion uses a combination of a slim,
shaped foam cushion base and a large gel sac covering the sacral
area, increasing even weight distribution and immersion of the
ischial tuberosities. This design delivers a high degree of protection
to users who are at High Risk of developing pressure ulcers. This
slim cushion format is ideal for both chair and wheelchair use.
The Invacare Flo-tech Solution cushion uses a combination of a
slim, shaped foam cushion base and a dual layer of gel sacs over
the ischial and sacral area. The dual gel sacs and the unique
moulded foam shape of the solution increases the support surface
area. This delivers a superior level of protection for those patients
identified as being at Very High Risk of developing pressure ulcers,
or for those with already established tissue damage.

Ulcer Pressure Sore / Stage Classification
EPUAP (Eruopean Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel) developed the scale
that classified Ulcer / Decubitus Stages from I - IV
Stage I
Sharply defined redness of intact skin. Indicating to an overheating of
the skin, indurations of oedema occur. With people with dark skin this
manifest in discoloration of the skin.
Stage II
Partial loss of the epidermis to the dermis. It is a superficial ulcer, which
can manifest to abrasion, blister or shallow crater.
Stage III
Damage to all layers of the skin (Epidermis, Dermis and Subcutis) up to
the underlying Fascia (soft under layer of connective tissue). Tissue
below the fascia is not affected yet. Clinically, the Ulcer appears as a
deep injury with or without undermining of surrounding tissue.
Stage IV
Loss of entire skin tissue, with extensive tissue necrosis and damage to
muscles, tendons and bones. Undermining and pocket-formation are
very common.

Sensi-Pulse oxygen delivery
Sensi-Pulse technology provides constant
minute-volume oxygen to mimic the natural
breath. This means that regards of a patient's
breath rate at any given setting, the same
amount of oxygen is delivered. As the breath rate
decreases, the bolus size increases. The highly
sensitive trigger requires only -0.20cm H2O of
patient effort to activate the pulse. A generous
volume is then delivered early in the patient
breath to ensure maximum patient comfort and
clinical efficiency.

The Competitive Edge of XP02: Sensi-Pulse Technology
Here is the real beauty of the XP02 Sensi-Pulse conserver technology delivery system: no matter how fast a patient
breathes, he/she will be assured a consistent and predictable volume of oxygen. Sensi-Pulse Technology customises the
size of each bolus of oxygen delivered to a patient to meet the individual demand of that patient at any given moment.
This is especially important when the patient naps of sleeps using the device. If a patient's respiratory rate and / or
ventilation decreases with rest or sleep, the CP02 delivers the same amount of O2, simply by increasing the bolus per
breath. The same applies if the patient missed a breath of series of breaths (i.e., cannula is displaced for a period), the
XP02 re-calculated the rates and adjusts the bolus to deliver the full minute volume.
Another advantage of the XP02 with Sensi-Pulse is consistent oxygen purity. Unlike some portable concentrator that lose
purity with changes in respiratory rate, the fixed minute volume and Sensi-Pulse method means that the patient assured
that the oxygen purity being delivered will be at therapeutically acceptable levels.
The combination of oxygen generation, small size / weight, intelligent oxygen delivery and durability is what makes the
XP02 stand out against all other competitors.
