No alcohol or smoking is permitted on park grounds. Parks are open to the
public from 7 am to 10 pm; overnight camping is not permitted. Well-socialized
dogs are allowed on a leash, but please be sure to come prepared to pick up
after your pet and keep the park clean and enjoyable.

Activities
Beginning Ice Hockey
Skating Skills Class
Learn fundamental hockey skills including forward and
backward skating (strides), transitional turns, stops, and
skating on one foot. In Beginning Ice Hockey Skating Skills,
skaters will learn the basic skills necessary to join
recreational hockey teams, high school hockey
teams, or travel league hockey teams.

Learn the fundamentals of ice-skating from certified U.S.
Figure Skating Association instructors. Class fee includes
skate rental and practice time on lesson day. Please arrive

Tae Kwon Do is an effective self-defense program

Tiny-Tot Soccer League
A step-by-step training program for boys and girls to
promote the development of fundamental soccer skills.
Youth will practice for 30 minutes and play one game
for 30 minutes with a 5-on-5 team. Parents interested in
coaching a team must submit a volunteer program
application to the Artesia Recreation Office. Coaches
are needed for program to begin.

Zumba Kids Fitness with Rocio
Perfect for our younger Zumba fans! 4-12 year olds get
the chance to be active and jam out to their favorite music.
Zumba kids classes feature kid-friendly routines based on
original Zumba choreography. We break down the steps,
add games, activities and cultural exploration elements
into the class structure. Help develop a healthy lifestyle
and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives
by making fitness fun. Classes incorporate key child
development elements like leadership, respect, team work,
confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, balance,
coordination and cultural awareness.

seniors, using simple and easily controlled movements.

Artesia Express Free Shuttle
The Artesia Express, a free shuttle service, is available to Artesia residents who are 60+ or disabled.
Participants must register by appointment at the Artesia Park office prior to using the service.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.
The service area includes the Artesia City limits plus the areas bounded by: Alondra Blvd. (north), Del Amo Blvd. (south),
Valley View Road (east) and Bellflower Blvd. (west). An expanded service area is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 9 am to 3 pm. For location information please contact the Artesia Park office at 562-860-3361.
Appointments for service require 24-hour advance notice.
Notice: The transportation service provider became Fiesta Taxi on January 1, 2016. Hours of operation and
boundaries have not been affected. The phone number for transportation reservations is 562-865-6266.

all recent high school graduates and thanks our teens who have worked hard to
make a difference in the community. Come enjoy a celebratory afternoon
barbecue of food, music, movies, and more. Hamburgers, chips, drinks, and
desserts will be provided. All teens who are 13 to 18 years old are welcome.
