Leaders are not superhuman. They are susceptible to burnout, a term used to describe a
syndrome of emotional exhaustion. The symptoms can be clearly identified in a burnout
leader – being demoralized, depersonalized, detached and a sense of defeatism permeates
the person. The cost of burnout can be high, both for the leader, his work and those who are
involved in the life of the leader. How then can one recover from such a situation? What steps
