The Garage is a place where imaginations soar and collaboration brings new solutions. Through project based learning activities, kids will experience hands-on minds-on learning of subjects ranging from simple machines to 3-D printing. In the Garage, we believe free thinking and new ideas should be encouraged, and that every “failure” moves us closer to the answer. All drop-ins and workshops are led by students and alumni of the renowned Clark High School robotics team. The YMCA of the Foothills Community Fruit Tree Harvest program has a goal to help our local neighbors harvest fruit from their own yards in order to share fresh produce with people who do not have access to it. How you might ask? Simple! YMCA volunteers harvest local neighbors fruit trees, and in return for the hard work, we ask that the neighbor provide 50%-75% of what is harvested for the YMCA to donate to people in need. Donations are distributed to local food banks, meals programs, senior centers, low-income housing facilities, youth and children’s programs, special residential facilities, school snack programs, and shelters. Don’t let your fruit go to waste, call today to schedule your harvest appointment!
