Marquette Restaurant Week: March 8-14
Celebrate the local flavors of Marquette’s Eastside Dining District
during the fourth annual “Marquette Restaurant Week,” March 8-14,
2015. The Eastside Originals participating restaurants, consisting of
independently owned and operated restaurants within Marquette’s
Eastside District, will offer $10 fixed price lunch menus and select
dinner meals for $25. Restaurant Week provides a wide variety of
culinary opportunities for foodies to enjoy. Whether it is fine dining,
local flavors, artisan baked goods, pub grub, authentic ethnic cuisine
or just a good sandwich, enjoy these eastside gems at an affordable

Downtown Showdown Rail Jam:
A Thrill on the Hill!
More than 80 skiers and snowboarders showed off their tricks and
talents at the 2015 Downtown Showdown Rail in Downtown
Marquette on Saturday, February 21. Not only did the new North
Front Street location provide a longer run for participants and
additional viewing opportunities for spectators, but a warm up tent
offered craft beverages and a warm place to seek shelter from the
cold temperatures. The DDA would like to thank the following

Downtown Spring Open: Twisted Tea Off Scheduled for April 25
The second annual Downtown Spring Open: Twisted Tea Off miniature golf tournament will be held on
Saturday, April 25, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Marquette’s Downtown District. Proceeds from the event will
benefit The Janzen House, a non-profit organization in Marquette that offers low income housing for males.
Teams of four will compete for cash and prizes as they travel from hole to hole throughout Marquette’s
Downtown District. The cost to participate is $100 per team, and participants must be at
least 21 years of age.
Online registration is open now through Friday, April 17 at

Friday, April 10, are automatically entered to win a prize package valued at $100. This
event is sponsored by the Marquette Downtown Development Authority, Double Trouble DJs and Bayside Beverage.
Downtown Farmers Market Accepting Applications
The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market is currently accepting applications for
its 16th season, slated to begin Saturday, May 23 and run through December 19 at
the Marquette Commons, 112 South Third Street, Marquette. The market will be open
every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., offering fresh produce, handmade goods and
artisan wares.
Vendor applications are now available as a fillable form at http://mqtfarmersmarket.com/wpcontent/uploads/2015/01/2015-Application-Packet-fillable-form1.pdf. Simply save the file to your
computer or other device, complete the form, save it and email it to
[email protected]. Printed application packets are available at the Downtown
Development Authority office at 203 S. Front Street, Suite 1-B, Marquette. Applications received after
