Thank you to everyone for attending our Spring Band Concert. A special thanks
to the parents/guardians of our senior class, it has been a true blessing and
honor to work with this wonderful group of seniors. Thank you to George
Weber, Karrie Boser, Dan Stifter, Tom Otte, Roxanne Welle and the video crew,
custodial staff and all others involved in making this concert a success. Thank
you to all parents for encouraging your children to be involved in band and
stay involved. It is such a blessing to work with them each day. Anyone
interested in joining our community band we will have our first rehearsal on
June 13! We will see you at graduation! Have a great summer!

Seniors
Clarinet, is the daughter of Krista Moore and
Jason Blanchard. Alyssa plans on attending CLC in
Brainerd for Dental Assistance. Alyssa’s favorite band
memory was the trip to New Orleans in 2013. Alyssa’s
words of wisdom, “Don’t Procrastinate!”
Alto Sax, is the son of Ken and Marilyn Dorn. Brent plans to
attend Bemidji State to study business. Brent’s favorite
band memory was the trip to New Orleans in 2013.
Brent’s words of wisdom, “Work hard because it is fun
to see that it pays off.”
Flute/Piccolo/Tenor Sax, is the daughter of Michelle and
Jody Gottwalt. Bree plans to attend St. Cloud State to
study psychology and later, clinical psychology. Bree’s
favorite band memory is sitting in the band room with
friends before school and after class or "Literally the
coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life". She
couldn’t decide. Bree’s words of wisdom “When you
have a new piece of music that is the most insane music
that you have ever seen in front of you, don't
underestimate your ability to be able to play it and play
it well.”
Percussion, is the son of Roger and Janice Janson.
Matthew plans to attend the University of MinnesotaDuluth and study Molecular Biology and Biochemistry
then continue on to become a Family Practice Physician.
Matthew’s favorite band memory is attending contest
every year. Matthew’s words of wisdom, “Do not stress
out when new music is handed out for contest.”
Clarinet/Alto Sax, is the daughter of Art and Diane Reuck.
Nöelle plans to attend Northwestern for
Graphic Design and Computer Information
Systems. Nöelle’s favorite band memory was in
7th grade for April Fools' Day, Aaron put a fart
machine underneath Mr. March's stand and
made it go off during class. Mr. March was not
happy. Nöelle’s words of wisdom, “How hard
YOU work in band determines the success of the ENTIRE band.”
Tenor Sax, is the son of James and Patty Stangl. Peter plans
to attend St. Cloud State. Peter’s favorite band
memory was playing Magic during the breaks in pep
band. Peter’s words of wisdom, “Don’t screw up!”
Percussion, is the son of George and Marge Weber. Aaron
plans to attend the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Aaron’s favorite band memory was the band trip to
New Orleans in 2013. Aaron’s words of wisdom, “Make
the most of these opportunities because you don’t get
too many of them.”
Flute/Piano/Vibes, is the daughter of Dave and
Patricia ZumBerge. Stephanita plans to attend Gustavus
Adolphus College and plans to study Psychology to
become a Life Coach. Stephanita’s favorite band
memories include: Seeing the happiness in Steven's eyes
after he made the cymbals go inside out from hitting
them so hard. Mr. Pohland's sad looking Charlie Brown
Christmas tree. When I put a radish on Mr. Siewert's
stand the day of the concert. Also, when I called Mr.
Blinn "mom." Stephanita’s words of wisdom, “Put feeling
behind the notes that you play... many people can play
notes on a page, but it takes a musician to feel (and live) the song they are
playing. Make the song matter. Oh, and always pick on the band teacher ;).
