Now until Saturday, November 14
Men’s Cuts, located at 469 Charles Bancroft
Highway, is hosting a Food Drive for
our local pantries. Please drop off your
donations anytime between now and
November 15 at Men’s Cuts between the
hours of 1-9 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday, and
Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Please keep
Thanksgiving in mind when giving!
Saturday, November 14
The Boy Scouts of Hudson will be
conducting their annual Scouting for Food
Drive. Hudson residents are asked to
please put out bags of non-perishable food
donations by 8 a.m. on Saturday morning
for pickup by Scouts. The Scouts and
volunteers will then deliver them to local
area pantries. If your donation does not get
picked up, please bring it to a local charity or
a supermarket that has a donation bin. The
Hudson Scouts thank you for your generosity.
An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be
held at Griffin Memorial School located at
229 Charles Bancroft Highway, Litchfield,
from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., sponsored by Litchfield
Women’s Club. All blood types are needed
because the need for blood never takes a
holiday. Donors are asked to please bring
along a blood donor card or valid picture
I.D. in order to donate. For additional
information on eligibility requirements,
contact the American Red Cross Blood
Services at 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or online at
www.newenglandblood.org.
The Lions’ Camp Pride for Special Needs
Children will be holding an Electronic and
White Goods Recycling Fundraiser. This
recycling event will be held from
8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 104 Lowell Road (next to
Teledyne) in Hudson. It’s time to get rid
of those old computers, printers, copiers,
TVs, VCRs, stereos, washers, dryers, air
conditioners, refrigerators, etc. that are taking
up valuable space around your home, for a
small fee.
Monday, November 16
Shear Class, 290 Derry Road, White Hen
Plaza, Hudson, will host ‘Haircuts for
the Hungry,’ from 3-8 p.m., which is a
haircutting session to benefit the Shiloh Food
Pantry in Manchester. During this time, all
proceeds, including tips, will be donated to
the food pantry. Customers are encouraged
to bring a non-perishable food item for our
donation box. People can get a quality
hairstyle for the holidays at a reduced price
while helping to provide food for those in
need in our community. Appointments for
Haircuts for the Hungry can be made in
advance by calling 603-883-3322. Walk-ins
are also welcome. For more information, go

The Hudson Fish & Game Club is now
accepting reservations for deliveries and
sit-down meals for Thanksgiving dinner,
November 26. If you are going to be alone
this year, we will bring the holiday to you
absolutely free of charge! Deliveries are not
restricted to Hudson. For your reservation,
please call 732-3056.
Friday, November 27
The Nottingham West Lions Club of Hudson
will be hosting the annual Visit from Santa.
Santa will arrive at the Town Common,
courtesy of the Hudson Fire Department,
to light the Holiday Tree at approximately
4:30 p.m. Immediately afterward, Santa will
continue on to the Community Center for a
visit with the children of Hudson. Several
community groups will also be on hand to
provide refreshments and crafts. This year
the Nottingham West Lions would like to
provide a “food drop” box for non-perishable
food items that will be donated to a local
food pantry. For more information regarding
Santa’s visit or to make a donation, please

Saturday, November 14
The Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson
will have a free showing of Marley and Me,
the true story of one family’s adventures with
“the world’s worst dog”. The movie will be
shown at 1:30 p.m. The library is located at
194 Derry Rd. Refreshments will be served.
Tuesday, November 17
The next Friends of the Library of Hudson
meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the
Rodgers Memorial Library, 194 Derry Road,
Hudson, in the Community Room. Feel free
to stop by and pick up a membership form.

Join hiker and professional photographer
Dave Smith on a visual journey along trails,
brooks, and beautiful vistas of the White
Mountains through each season, and hear a
talk on the history of the White Mountains.
This program will take place at 7 p.m. at
the Rodgers Memorial Library, 194 Derry

A free computer workshop “Introduction
to the Internet” will be held at the Rodgers
Memorial Library, 194 Derry Road, Hudson,
from 1-2 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. Basic mouse
and keyboarding skills are needed for this
workshop. Call 888-2236 to pre-register.
The Rodgers Memorial Library will be
hosting a Games Night for All Ages from
6:30-8:30 p.m. Play one of our games
or bring a favorite from home. Games
for younger children are available too.

Thursday, November 19
The Litchfield Republican Committee will
welcome Mr. Joseph D’Aleo of Hudson as
their guest speaker at their next meeting
at 7 p.m. at the Litchfield Technology
Park. Everyone is welcome, but please
call 424-5487 and leave a message if
you are planning on attending as space
is limited. Mr. D’Aleo is the executive
director of ICECAP, a Fellow of the American
Meteorological Society, and a Certified
Consultant Meteorologist.

Saturday, November 14 and Sunday,
November 15
St. Kathryn Parish, located at 4 Dracut
Road, Hudson, will be holding their 16th
Annual Holiday Bazaar and Penny Sale on
Saturday, November 14 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
and Sunday, November 15 from 9 a.m. to
3 p.m. There will be holiday crafts, penny
sale gifts, theme baskets, games for the kids,
homemade candies and baked goods, and a
grand raffle (cash prizes). Please come and
join us for a few days of fun, prizes, food,
and gifts, and start your holiday season right!
Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29
The St. Kathryn Parish Youth Group will be
holding a Festival of Trees Fundraising Raffle
on Saturday, November 28 from
2-6 p.m. and Sunday, November 29 from
8 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will feature a raffle
of gingerbread houses and over 30 beautiful,
themed Christmas trees, including a Money
tree, Gift Card tree, Tool tree, Sports tree, and
many more. Win the tree and everything on
it! The festival will be held in the parish hall,
located at 4 Dracut Road, Hudson. Proceeds
from this event will support youth mission
trips.

will be raking yards to help raise funds for

The CLUB at LMS after-school Parent
Advisory Meeting will be held in the

Tuesday & Wednesday, November 17 & 18
Campbell High School will host Parent/
Teacher conferences. The conferences
will be scheduled at 10-minute intervals
on both days. On Tuesday, November 17,
the conferences will run from 3:30-5 p.m.
and 6-8:30 p.m. Starting at 2:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, there will be a sign-up sheet posted
outside each teacher’s room for each of the
two conference days. Please feel free to
come in after 2:30 p.m. on November 17 to
sign up for your 10-minute conferences with
the teachers of your choice. Please be aware
that teachers will have a dinner break from
5-6 p.m. on Tuesday evening and lunch
break from 11:30 a.m.-noon on Wednesday.
There will be no school on Wednesday,
November 18 due to the Parent/Teacher
conferences. Parents will receive more
information in the mail.
Thursday, November 19
Fall athletes of Campbell High School
and their parents are cordially invited to
attend the Fall Sports Athletic Awards
Night at 7 p.m. in the Campbell High
School auditorium. At this event, each
varsity team will present two special
Athletic Achievement Awards. Additionally,
each sport program will acknowledge its
Student Athletes and present Varsity Letters,
Junior Varsity Letters, and Certificates of
Participation. The Booster Club will make
a presentation to student athletes who have
lettered twice in Campbell High School
sports as of this season. The Varsity Club
is asking both students and parents for a
non-perishable food item to be given at the
door. This donation will be given to a food
pantry in our local area as a community
service project for our athletic department.
Refreshments will be served by the Campbell
Athletic Booster Club.
