Networking is a multi-faceted art. It includes promotion and marketing of your own business
and learning about other businesses as you build working relationships with group members.
Business Connections was established as a forum for Chamber-member businesses to generate
support, contacts and referrals for each other. It is an industry-exclusive group, meaning only
one business from any given industry can participate (for example, one banker or one realtor).
The group has done more than $5 million in direct business (actual sales) through leads from
fellow group members.
Business Connections meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. in the
basement of the Municipal Center. If you are interested in participating in this very successful
networking group, please call the Chamber at 662-3366 for more information.
Savings On Energy Could Enhance Your Bottom Line
The Chamber has endorsed Integrys Energy Services as the preferred electric provider.
Integrys Energy Services is a diversified company offering energy supply, risk management
and energy information management to meet its customers’ energy needs. More than ten
years ago, your Chamber was one of the first to endorse Integrys and we have had an excellent
working relationship with them ever since. Our members are some of the longest term, most
loyal customers that Integrys supplies.
The electricity supply from Integrys is mutually beneficial to the Chamber and to you, our
member, as well. As a Chamber member, your business may purchase competitively priced
electricity from Integrys Energy at either fixed or variable rates that are further enhanced by a
special Chamber discount. In addition, by separating the commodity from the delivery, you
will pay no sales tax on the delivery.
You can determine potential savings on this commodity through a no-cost analysis of current
energy usage. Log onto www.IntegrysEnergy.com/OrchardPark to obtain a no-obligation
quote.
Briefly, Of Interest…
Orchard Park High School’s Academy of Finance program, which began eight years ago, has
grown to include over 100 students. Its objective is to introduce students to sound,
fundamental business education; provide professional and personal financial literacy training;
improve technical skill sets; and provide internship/personal development opportunities.
Businesses are being sought to provide paid internships for these students.

The 10 Annual
In 2014, the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 50th Anniversary and
the Taste of Orchard Park celebrates its 10th Anniversary!
To promote this milestone year, the Chamber will be moving to the middle ticket
location on the west side of N. Buffalo Street near Princeton, where we will have a larger
presence on the street.
• To raise funds for the Chamber’s annual Sue Hinners and Academy of Finance
scholarships, the Chamber will be operating a dunk tank near our ticket booth.
• The Chamber will also have a large prize wheel offering various prizes to those
who spin the wheel. Chances to spin the wheel will be free.
These new features offer an excellent opportunity for Chamber members to get more
exposure at this very popular and growing event. We are looking for the following ...
1. Volunteers to sit in the dunk tank for 30 to 60 minute shifts
2. Businesses to donate gifts to be given away at the prize wheel. These can be
anything of any value—gift cards, logo items (pencils, keychains, t-shirts, etc.),
or even a larger prize like dinner for four at your restaurant or a gift certificate to
your establishment.
If you are interested in any of the above opportunities, please contact the Chamber office
at 662-3366. This event promises to be bigger and better than ever! Don’t miss out!

July 23, 2014

On North Buffalo Street between Quaker Street (Rte. 20A) and NOCO
2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the Orchard Park Chamber and the 10 th anniversary of the Taste of Orchard Park. Last year, more
than 60,800 tickets (at $1 each) were spent over a four hour span at 37 vendor booths. Ticket sales in 2013 were nearly 20% greater
than in 2012. We estimate approximately 6,000 people attended this event. With the exception of a Bills game, the Taste of Orchard
Park brings more people together than any other single-day event in town. And the event gets larger every year!
A sponsor space (with a gold or silver level sponsorship) at the Taste of Orchard Park is the single best opportunity for any business or
organization to reach thousands of affluent individuals and families in a relaxed, fun, festive atmosphere. Your generous sponsorship
not only gives you excellent exposure, it ensures that this incredible community event will continue to take place every year.
