Eyelashes Growth Cycle
There are three stages of hair growth with an eyelash: anagen (active/growth phase),
catagen (transition/regression phase) and telogen (resting phase). Hair that comprises eyelashes and eyebrows have a very short active anagen phase of about 30-45 days
which explains why they are shorter than scalp hair. Approximately 60-80% of eyelashes
are in this phase. The entire cycle duration lasts 3-4 months compared to the typical

Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a powerful humectant (aka moisture-binding ingredient) that keeps
skin plump and hydrated and, yes, young-looking.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide (carbohydrate) in the human
body. It is present in large amounts in the spaces between skin cells, where it provides
moisture, plumpness, firmness and suppleness to the skin.
Do you know why a baby’s skin always looks so deliciously dewy and pillowy? It is because babies are born with a high level of hyaluronic acid, which keeps their skin plump
and smooth. Unfortunately, the amount of hyaluronic acid in skin diminishes with age,
most significantly after age 40.
Jojaba Seed Oil
Jojoba oil is found as an additive in many cosmetic products, especially those marketed
as being made from natural ingredients. In particular, such products commonly containing jojoba are lotions and moisturizers, hair shampoos and conditioners. The pure oil
itself may be used on skin, hair, or cuticles.
Jojoba oil is the liquid produced in the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) plant, a
shrub, which is native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico. The oil makes up approximately 50% of the jojoba seed by weight.
Pea Extract
An active botanical extract derived from seeds of Pisum sativum L., pea extract keeps
specific enzymes known as proteases from degrading skin proteins such as collagen and
elastin which are responsible for giving skin its firmness and elasticity. It can therefore
protect collagen and elastin against the damaging effects of proteases activated by aging
and through different types of skin abuse (UV, chemical, immunological, etc.)
Used in skin care products, pea extract acts as an anti-enzyme complex and gives the
skin its firmness and elasticity. A clinical study has demonstrated significant improvement in skin elasticity (+16.7%) after just three weeks of treatment.
