March 20-21-22 at the Palais des congrès in Montréal March 28-29 at the Centre des congrès in Québec City Montréal, February 12th, 2015 - At the 18th edition of the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert, health food, ecology and global health enthusiasts will be able to treat all their senses on March 21-22-23 at the Palais des congrès in Montréal and March 29-30 at the Centre des congrès in Québec City! More than 30 000 visitors in those two cities are expected to attend the largest food and health event of the Spring in Québec. A Spicy and Creative Program! The 'Championnat amateur de Cuisine santé de Montréal' is back for a 5th year and will be hosted by Renée Frappier, President of the Expo, along with the organizer of the contest, Marie-Noël Gingras-Perron of the 'Vert et Fruité' blog. The candidates will be given 45 minutes to prepare an eco-gastronomic recipe and woo the jury composed of 3 personalities from the health food scene. When? Saturday March 21st at 11am. Several renowned guest speakers will bring their experience and dynamism to the 3 educational stages of the Expo: Valérie Maltais, Jonathan Garnier, Isabelle Huot, Jacynthe René, Marie Provost, Hélène Baribeau, Bob le Chef, Karine Larose, Anne-Marie Roy, Élise Desaulniers, Catherine Lefebvre, Gabrielle Destroismaisons and many others. On Friday March 20th, the Expo will hold for the second year the Concours Boulanger Artisan Bio featuring 10 professional bread bakers from all over Québec. The contestants will bake three types of healthy breads using special flours such as khorasan and spelt. The aim of the contest is to promote and acknowledge bakers that invest their time and talent in perpetuating the art of bread-making using noble ingredients. Presented by the Meunerie Milanaise in collaboration with Aliments du Québec and the Expo, the contest will award the winner with the Best Baker Using Certified Organic Products from Québec grand prize. Jeunes Pousses is presenting a new activity for children in 2015: Le Parcours des Aventuriers et Aventurières du goût. Each day, surprises and food tastings will delight and awaken children to the numerous pleasures associated with the discovery and tasting of different foods. Hundreds of food tastings, cooking demonstrations, conferences and workshops... for the pleasure of tasting and learning! At the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert, we come to learn about the quality and origin of the foods we eat and the products we use.
