Virtual Moulage
•  Media files are used in simulation to enhance the
reality of the experience.
•  Existing files are imported and then displayed on
the simulator’s patient monitor
Media Types
•  Pictures (x-ray, wounds, skin conditions,
injuries)
•  Video (neurological signs and pathology,
breathing patterns)
•  Documents (lab results, radiology reports)
•  Learning materials (reference material and
rationale)
•  Vocal sounds (pre-recorded sound clips played
as the simulator’s voice)

click Add Files…

Note, your
computer may go
back directly to the
last folder you
looked in. If this
happens, utilize the
address bar to back
out to the root
folder named Xray, Media, or
Labs

will be
displayed in
the “prepare
for transfer”
window.

•  Once transferred, the file will move down to the
“Transferred files:” window. This means the file is
available to the learner (delayed files not withstanding).
These files will be available for the duration of the
scenario.
