CAT114 Application
The Suji Galilee Church, in South Korea, was building a 700-seat sanctuary and looking for a top-of-the line sound system.
Through consulting, Church representatives chose the CAT114 curved line array, because it has a larger coverage area,
both horizontally and vertically, than a traditional line array. On this project, we gave the CAT114 a custom color so that it
would blend in well with the color scheme of the sanctuary. We also paired it with the CS18 and Clair Brothers Amplifiers
to complete the sound system design.

The Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in York, PA serves as the community’s cultural arts center, offering a wide
variety of dynamic live entertainment. When the 1,262 seat venue needed a centrally-located, cosmetically appealing sound
covering solution, we recommended the CAT214. It was the only speaker of its kind that was able to cover most of the space
from a central location. We paired it with the Clair CS18 and provided a custom color to match the interior.

The Franklin Theatre, a cozy 300 seat movie and live music venue, located in the middle of Tennessee boasts a hometown
feel with professional sound. This beautiful theatre required a high quality live performance PA with a substantial amount
of headroom in a small footprint. Our i208 compact line array was able to deliver a large amount of sound in a not-so-large
amount of space. Paired with the FF2 and CS218, this full system helps keep the entertainment scene alive in Franklin, TN.

When the Islan Myungsun Church in Islan, Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea was testing different sound systems, they chose Clair
Brothers in a shootout against a well-known competitor. The 3,000-seat sanctuary was a wide, fan-shaped room, making it
a challenge for full sound coverage. Church officials opted for the i212, and we paired it with the iS218, R2D-P, 12AM, and
Clair Brothers amplifiers.

Eason Chan, sometimes referred to as the “King of Asian Pop,” sells out stadiums all over the globe. Whether indoor or
outdoor, his fans expect the show’s audio to pack a punch. When we needed a main PA to cover the majority of Chan’s
concert at the Chengdu Sports Center Stadium in Chengdu, China, we knew our powerful i218 arrays would get the job
done. The stadium made first use of the i218 Stadium Processing created by Clair Brothers engineering. With the help of the
Clair Brothers i212 and iS218 systems, the i218s were able to provide excellent coverage and huge impact to over 40,000
enthusiastic fans.

The Clair Brothers i218-LT changes the way concert sound reinforcement is applied in the largest venues around
the world. Built on the extremely successful i218 large format line array platform, the Long Throw packs (8) 1.4” (2.5”
diaphragm) compression drivers in a mid-high module with 90 degrees of horizontal coverage and only 2.5 degrees of
vertical dispersion. The high frequency section offers a solution to the problems of energy density maximization and power
compression minimization. This much energy focused in such a tight pattern yields a box that projects intelligibility to the
furthest corner of any venue.
Designed to be flown in blocks of four to six cabinets at the top of an array of i218 cabinets, the LT seamlessly extends
the capability of the i218 System. Integral i218 bimodal rigging and Bimodal Incremental Rigging Discs (B.I.R.D.) allow for
industry leading high resolution angular adjustment in the vertical plane. Rigging angle prediction is easily done via industry
standard EASE GLL file format for array simulation. The LT top grid is also designed to provide more up-tilt options in order
to project the sound to its longest capacity.
Truly a revolutionary device, the i218-LT is the ideal complement to the i218 system. The combination of i218-LT and i218
delivers the ability to cover more area with less equipment and better sound quality.

iS118, painted a custom color to match the existing décor, and paired it with the i208 and 12AM to help engage members in
the 2,000-seat facility.

In an upcoming 30,000-seat concert, Korean pop legend Cho Yong-Pil had plans to perform on a moving stage, so there
couldn’t be subwoofers blocking the performance area. Cho hand-picked a Clair sound system equipped with Clair iS218
subwoofers because they could be flown instead of stacked and were powerful enough to deliver low-frequency response
to the audience. We paired the iS218 with other Clair products, including the i218-M, i212, i208, iS118, and the 12AM to
deliver superior sound.
The iS218 can also be deployed in ground stack mode.

artists, we installed the Clair WEDGE stage monitor. The WEDGE was developed as a value engineered product
maintaining the Clair Brothers quality standard. The WEDGE also includes the option of active or passive operation; the

The Carnival Serenity cruise ship boasts a full range of outdoor entertainment areas, including a luxurious resort-style pool
and three different waterslides. When providing sound to these outdoor spaces, we chose the R2D, pairing it with the Clair
CS18-WR, because of its ability to overcome the constant background noise from the ship’s engines and the wind. Since
exposure to the elements was a concern, we designed marine-grade custom rigging and mounts throughout.

Through a cutting-edge AVL system, Mission Hills Church in Littleton, CO delivers engaging messages of faith and hope
along with powerful musical performances in its 1,200-seat sanctuary. Part of the system included the Church’s requirement
for studio-quality, near-field coverage for the front rows of the sanctuary. The challenge was to provide similar quality sound
that equaled that of the Clair i212 line array, so we used the RSS and paired it with the i212. As a custom solution, the RSS
back boxes were installed prior to speaker installation to reserve space in the stage fascia while construction was occurring.

Raleigh Hotel
When the Raleigh Hotel needed compact subwoofers capable of delivering convincing club-style bass reproduction for their
pool deck, we knew that CS18’s would do the trick. Since the woofers would be exposed to the hot and humid climate of
Miami Beach, they were treated to be weather resistant. We completed the CS18’s with fully custom wooden enclosures
built right in our wood shop and finished to match the overall design of the area. To provide full range coverage in the higher
frequencies, we paired these subwoofers with Clair R2D’s to provide full, rich sound for sunbathers and party-goers alike.

Carnival cruise line impresses and delights passengers with its extravagant features and grand-scale entertainment. The

Prestonwood Baptist Church
Prestonwood Baptist Church’s 7,500 seat santuary requires some serious gear in order to create impactful sound for its
church-goers. The CS218 large format installation subwoofer paired with the Clair i218, 15CX, and F28-H were perfectly
suited for the job. Because the church’s choir riser sits directly behind its subs, it was critical to keep the sub’s rear acoustic
energy from leaking into the choir microphones. The solution required custom rigging where two arrays consisting of 5x
CS218 were hung in a hypercardioid array. Along with Clair Brothers proprietary hypercardioid digital signal processing
accomplished with Lake Processing, this solution resulted in excellent performance with sub bass energy from 20-80Hz
evenly covering the sanctuary while being whisper quiet on-stage and on the choir riser.

Pole Mount Configuration
The Clair Brothers Traveller Pole Mount System boasts six system packages for optimum customization in any application. Each
package includes two full range loudspeakers (choose between FF2, F28, and R2D), two CS18-M subwoofers with integrated
transport dollies, two poles, a full range road case, and system amp rack.
The Clair Brothers Traveller comes standard in a 2-way package with passive mid/highs (Classic), but an optional, fully
active rig (Plus) is available for more demanding applications.

The Clair Brothers Traveller System is the perfect choice for compact, portable applications. It’s power, flexibility and small
size gives you the tools to handle a wide range of events.
The CS18-M Subwoofer provides a very stable base for the system. The telescoping pole, which threads into a stainless
steel mounting plate, grips the raised speaker firmly with an expanding clutch that helps avoid unwanted movement.
The Traveller can deliver great sound for any event most spaces. With three choices for mid/high packs, you can customize
the package to your particular application.
