 Askren Wrestling Academy weekly newsletter Badgers best MSU 19-­‐12 Max Askren Xmas Tilt Clinic This is a great opportunity for you guys to get some extra practice during the holiday break. For those of you who haven’t heard Max has just moved back to Wisconsin, he is still very active competing on the senior level circuit. As of now he is ranked #3 in the country at 84kg. He will be doing a whole camp on tilts, this is one of his many expertises. Check pg 6 for flyer. Champions come in Pairs

Don’t forget about the CHAMPIONS COME IN PAIRS program. Members earn $50 just for bringing a friend in and getting them to sign up!!! Another event we are excited about is the Spartan Xmas Duals. We will be taking a team to Chicago Heights, IL to compete in an elite 8 team dual. There will be teams from at least 4 states attending. Our team has now filled 17 of the 18 weight classes with the exception of the 177 class. I think we have a strong team that will be able to compete with anyone. The full itinerary is now at the end of this newsletter, it is looking like it is going to be a very fun trip. Hope everyone is looking forward to it. I know it may seem a ways away at this point, but we are starting to put together information for the Ignition trip to Iowa City also. I know I don’t have to tell most of you how awesome this trip is going to be, but it will be great. The kids are going to get to see 2 Hawkeye dual meets plus get a clinic from Brent Metcalf. 2 UPCOMING EVENTS November 12-­‐December 20-­‐ Champions Come In Pairs Contest. Our greatest job is to prepare you all to wrestle in college, so it is of the utmost importance for us to follow our athletes as they go through the college ranks. We want to announce we will be having a champions come in pairs holiday contest. Since we installed the Champions come in pairs program we have had a tremendous amount of success with it. Of all the advertising and marketing we do for the academy your word still is way more effective. We want to thank you for that. So here is what we are doing, in addition to the $50 you get when you bring a friend to the academy you will now have a chance to win an Ipad mini. Starting November 12, anybody who brings a friend to practice, regardless if they become a member or not will receive one point. If they decide to sign up then you will receive 3 bonus points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the contest will get an Ipad Mini. We can’t tell you how much all of the good things you guys say to others helps the academy grow, and in the end this will be able to benefit everyone. The more tough wrestlers we can get in the room the better everyone’s practice situation becomes and the more success we will all have. Flyer is attached on page 5.
