You can’t really understand a place until you understand its
culture, history, landscape and traditions. At Delaware North, we
take pride in cultivating this understanding. It’s how we elevate
the guest experience to create a memory that will never be
forgotten. A memory that draws guests back time and time again.
The places we operate—hotels, resorts, cultural attractions and
parks—make countless memories for millions of guests each
and every year. We bring a rare attention to detail to every
property in our care, and to each and every individual we serve
across our diverse operating companies.
OUR MISSION
“To Provide Stewardship and Hospitality in Special

Experiences as Unique as the Destination. ”

We’re a global leader in hospitality and food service with
operating companies in the lodging, sporting, airport, gaming
and entertainment, and premium restaurant and catering
industries. Among our many assets are world-renowned resorts
and Boston’s TD Garden, widely acclaimed as one of the top
sports and entertainment venues in the United States.
We began in 1915 in Buffalo, N.Y., where our award-winning
global headquarters can still be found. With annual revenue
exceeding $3 billion, we are one of the largest privately held
companies in the world. Each year, our 60,000 associates serve
half a billion customers in the United States, Canada, the United
Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. In mid-2014, Delaware
North made its return to the Asian market by serving fans at the
Singapore Sports Hub, one of the company’s newest contracts.
Delaware North Parks & Resorts
We established Delaware North Parks & Resorts in 1992 to
extend Delaware North’s brand into parks, resorts and cultural
attractions. This gives us the opportunity to bring our longstanding philosophy of stewardship and hospitality to many
of the world’s extraordinary destinations. We tell the stories of
these Special Places so they’re as authentic and meaningful to
our guests as they are to us.
Delaware North Sportservice
Delaware North Sportservice is the longest-standing name in
sports hospitality. Delaware North has served fans for nearly
a century and today provides retail expertise and concessions,

Established in 2001, GreenPath® guides how we help care for and protect
our natural, cultural and historic resources. Our award-winning GreenPath
initiatives have led the way in the hospitality industry for more than a
decade. Five key values drive these initiatives:
Environment – As the first U.S. hospitality
company to register our environmental
management system to international ISO
14001 standards, we establish annual goals
and implement improvements.
Interpretation and Education – We embrace and share the stories
our Special Places offer visitors, and we help create an environment to
understand and appreciate them.
Asset Protection – We display, protect and preserve artifacts, historic
and other buildings, as well as treasures of national and international
significance. We also make sure all visitors have appropriate access to,
and use of, these assets.
Healthy Living – Our Culinary Wellbeing® program is all about serving
good food that’s good for our guests as well as encouraging guests and
associates to be active.
Community Outreach – We’re part of the communities where we operate
and work. We contribute funds and services and promote volunteerism.

standards-based continuous improvement.
More than that, it’s our promise to
provide the ultimate visitor experience.
We deliver it through these key values:
Service – “Creating special experiences one guest at a time®” is the
GuestPath pledge our associates carry out every day to ensure that
every visitor they encounter has a positive and memorable experience.
Product – We specialize in local and sustainable products that are
good for our planet and help tell the stories of the Special Places we serve.
Our range of products appeal to different ages, genders and cultures,
and accommodates varied dietary needs.
Value – We offer quality products and services at a range of price

DiscoveryPaths , a program started by Delaware
North in 2013, provides students the opportunity
to participate in activities which enhance school
curriculum through hands-on learning.
SM
DiscoveryPaths provides students and teachers with
an out of the classroom learning experience to build
greater awareness of our surroundings by focusing
on core standards and improving test scores with
memorable, hands-on applications.
Our program is designed to develop healthy living and
personal development while focusing on nutrition,
nature, energy and the environment. These concepts
will influence a greater appreciation and protection of
cultural as well as natural resources by incorporating
these topics into fun and dynamic activities with the
use of science, technology, engineering, arts, and
mathematics (STEAM).

Hospitality starts with an attention to detail. Whether
our guests are with us overnight or for an extended
journey away from home, we give them a memorable
stay that’s as comfortable as it is distinctive.
But don’t just take our word for it. We’ve provided
special moments to discriminating travelers around
the globe. We’ve managed nearly 4,000 rooms in
a variety of spectacular locations, such as national
historic landmarks, rustic High Sierra camps,
AAA® Four Diamond hotels, seaside bungalows on
Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, and more.
Our Special Places are national treasures and
international destinations that attract guests from
around the world. We manage distribution channels
to drive occupancy, and we can tame the volatile
demands of single-customer segments.

From the most sophisticated palates of world travelers to the pickiest young
eaters, and those with special dietary needs, we cater to every taste. Every
plate we serve takes into consideration the following:
• Our chefs are committed to sourcing locally grown, organic and
sustainable foods and incorporating the unique flair of regional favorites
into our menus.
• Every food and beverage service we provide—from quick, casual meals to
fine dining—is designed to tell a place’s unique story.
• Our award-winning culinary team is led by American Culinary Federation
(ACF) certified chefs. They are handpicked and trained to ACF standards,
as well as the National Restaurant Association ServSafe program and
Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards.
• We offer a wide range of culinary services and menu offerings at each of
our Special Places. Our menus reflect the unique dietary preferences of our
guests, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, as well as familyfriendly options.
Our company-wide Culinary Wellbeing® program is committed to “serving
good food that’s good for you,” and it helps us remind guests to be active
and to take advantage of the healthy food options we offer. The program is
centered around nutrition awareness, education, visitor choice, local and
seasonal foods, conservation and sustainability.
In addition, we’re deeply committed to the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch
program and have made a pledge to serve only fish approved by the high
standards of their organization.
Food can play an integral role to life’s special moments, so we make every
bite matter. Our guests’ dining experiences—no matter how big or small—
are intrinsic to the overall enjoyment of their visits.

From mountain-climbing gear to Native American pottery to everyday
sundries, our retail offerings are as diverse as the places we serve. But what
holds true for each and every Special Place is our ability to tell its unique
story, and to enhance our visitors’ experiences every step of the way.
Our experience and global reach let us negotiate competitive national
agreements with suppliers while attracting a team of highly qualified
merchandisers and retailers. As a result, our retail segment generates over
$100 million annually.
• We understand the needs and interests of our guests and visitors.
• We sell items that interpret the history, culture, traditions and natural
resources of the properties we serve.
• We educate our guests, as well as foster a deeper awareness and
understanding of the Special Places we oversee.
• We design our retail locations with engaging messaging, signage and
collateral that informs visitors about where products were made or
who the artist is.
• We are proud to offer an excellent selection of American Indian
products, as well as a wide range of products made in the USA.
• We offer significant value to our guests through a broad range of prices.
As the largest grocery concessioner in the national parks, we understand
what guests and visitors need and want. We sell a full line of grocery items,
including natural, organic and local products. We also have convenient,
fresh and healthy grab-n-go items and family meal-bundling values.

Our passion is to preserve the culture and heritage of our nation’s treasures—
and immerse guests in the traditions and stories of those places. That’s why
we hire and train associates who embrace the role of meaningful storytelling.
Through a variety of interpretive and educational programs, we provide
memorable experiences that enhance guests’ understanding of the history and
natural resources that make each location unique.
Visitors will find these themes echoed in our dining, décor, retail, activities,
services and facilities. It may be through personal interpretation, such as fireside
chats and guided tours (for large and small groups), or through non-personal
interpretation, such as product messaging and trail safety signage.
We work with some of the best educators, interpreters and storytellers in the
world, including the U.S. National Park Service, NASA, native storytellers and
NatureBridge—a nonprofit organization that connects youth to the natural
world. We also have corporate partnerships with architecture, interpretation,
and historic preservation experts. Our offerings include:
• Programs in other languages for non-English speaking visitors.
• A wide variety of programs designed to appeal to different age groups, such as
Wee Wild Ones, Camp Kennedy Space Center®, and Lifelong Learners.
• Transportation services with expert guides that further engage guests in the
stories of their surroundings.

SALES & MARKETING
TH E M EDI U M I S TH E M E SSAG E
Customer-Centricity
To us, “Customer-Centricity” means intelligently
managing the relationship between Delaware
North and our guests by transforming guest
data into high return relationship marketing
strategies. We begin by developing a 360º view
of the guest and make sure that we engage in
every relevant way— online, mobile, social
media, email, direct mail, SMS, etc. We then
create the right message and deliver it at the right
time in the right medium with a compelling
and measurable call to action that allows us to
refine our approach and achieve results. It also
means success: we consistently outperform our
competitors in rate and occupancy in every
market in which we operate.
Database Management
Our data collection platform lets us collect and
analyze visitor and non-visitor demographic
and psychographic information, allowing
for comparative and trend analysis between
audiences and surveys, including:
• Guest history and behavior
• Consumer preferences
• Visitor ratings
• Media habit studies
• Marketing tactic effectiveness
• Focus groups
Database Analytics
Data is everywhere. Understanding what’s
relevant and turning that into actionable,
measurable initiatives is the key to high
performance. We gather and refresh data from
numerous customer touch points every single
day. As a result we have developed highly
qualified and segmented groups for targeted
direct mail and personalized email initiatives.
Each list is updated to include past visitation and
communication history and each guest record
is appended with more than 50 lifestyle and
demographic data points.
E-Commerce
Our website provides each property with its
own dedicated page, as well as references in
relevant sections of the site. Our goal is to fully
optimize each site so that it will generate a
high conversion rate. We use a highly effective
e-commerce platform that allows for costeffective web presence with a proven booking
engine for rooms, tickets, events and retail.
Mobile Marketing
We develop mobile device application platforms
for cost-effective mobile marketing and consumer
engagement. This provides for opt-in capture of
emails, names and addresses.
National and International
Business-to-Business Sales Force
Each property is included in our companywide referral
program through more than 35 full-time sales managers
who cover national and international territories. We have
contractual relationships with key tour and travel companies
worldwide. In addition, we feature every property at top
industry events and major trade venues around the world.
We’re well represented and serve in leadership roles in many
key industry organizations such as US Travel Association,
Brand USA, USTOA, and NTA. We’re present at many top
events such as Pow Wow, ITB, and World Travel Market.
Revenue/Yield Management
We use an integrated revenue management technology
that provides actionable data to maximize occupancy and
yield at our hotel units.
Collateral
Properties are featured in various targeted collateral,
which is distributed to appropriate market segments.
Public/Media Relations
Properties are included in all appropriate public/media
relations outreach initiatives, such as features on
culinary, environmental, sustainability, cultural, and
human interest topics.
