Greetings Sorors,
The 2015-2016 Achievements and Awards Committee is providing you with information pertinent to your
regional conferences and specifically of benefit during the 2016 Boule. The guidebook included in this
transmission provides criteria for the national awards, exhibits, and scrapbooks that all regions are
expected to adhere.
The majority of applications included in the guidebook should flow through the regional Achievements
and Awards Committee, the chair of which will forward information about the regional winners to the
National Achievements and Awards Committee. However, please note the following:
1. A few applications for awards should go to sources other than the Achievements and Awards
Committee:
a. The National Youth Projects Award (YSC)
b. National Undergraduate Chapter Service Grant (UCC)
c. Annie Neville Talent Award (UCC)
2. It is important that you following the deadlines established by your region when submitting
applications.
3. Graduate and undergraduate members are eligible to apply for the Hattie Redford Award;
however -a. Presentation and judging of exhibits are limited to undergraduates only.
b. Graduates will be judged on scrapbooks only.
c. All scrapbooks should include reference to the national theme, “Uplifting our Legacy of
Sisterhood, Leadership and Service,” and reflect activities from Boule to Boule.
Expect more information about other Boule awards, including those that are submitted directly to the
National Achievements and Awards Committee. And while your regional Achievements and Awards
Committee chair should be able to answer any questions you may have about the awards process, please
feel free to contact me when you have additional questions.
Sisterly,
Ann Broughton
