There’s nothing quite like the uplifting feeling you get as you climb the steep path all
alone and then, suddenly, the white, snow-covered slopes of the Arlberg open up in
front of you. There, in the middle – as if it has been painted in – is St. Christoph,
the cradle of Alpine skiing and the place where a venerable hospice was
founded several hundred years ago – the Arlberg Hospiz Hotel of today.

Your host, Florian Werner, is himself an artist and an art collector and is well aware of the enrichment provided
by painting, sculpture and photography. That’s why he founded the Hospiz Galerie in St. Christoph

It was the search for that sublime sensation of gliding over the snow on skis that drove the skiing
pioneers to the Arlberg over 110 years ago – shortly before they founded the Arlberg Skiclub. Today, every visitor to the region can enjoy ideal skiing conditions, with 84 cable cars and
