Inter-standard roaming has been available for years…
• Required rental or purchase of GSM handset from CDMA
operator
• GSM & CDMA billing is typically integrated
• Call forwarding from CDMA handset to GSM handset is
typical
• Many operators offer this service
… But now it can be improved with a dual-mode
GSM/CDMA handset
