During this class you will learn how to set up the loom, what materials are appropriate to use, and the technique of looming. This technique can be used on any copper sheet form, but students will focus on making at least one ring and one pendant in this class. Combining colors and color layering will be taught as well. Some metal fabrication experience is helpful but not required. Materials list. by Kat Clark You’ve Got Maille \ $25 Saturday, February 8 (2-5pm) Tropical Sea Starfish \ $65 Sunday, February 16 (10am-5pm) Do you have any unfinished chainmaille that’s sitting around waiting to get finished? Have you forgotten how to continue the weave? Or, have you started another one and forgotten how to start it? Here’s your chance to get back on track and get them done with Wendy by your side. Any student from Wendy’s previous chainmaille classes are eligible to attend. This breezy sea starfish is bold, delicate and playful! Materials list. by Kat Clark by Sheilah Cleary by Kat Clark Speedy Loom Convertible \ $55 Saturday, February 22 (10am-4pm) Gemstone Hinged Bangle \ $35 Saturday, March 1 (1-4pm) Called “speedy looming” because that’s exactly what it is. Beads are placed onto the warp threads before the loom is dressed and that’s what allows you to move along quickly. Basic looming experience is required. Materials list. Learn to move heavy gauge wire to form a hinged bangle armature. This simple design can be easily customized to highlight a few gorgeous gemstone beads or shards, pearls and various beads types or found objects. Good hand strength is helpful to move heavy gauge wire. Materials list.
