by Jennifer Soltero
Forest Queen \ $45
Saturday, February 1 (12-4pm)
Triple Threat \ $55
Sunday, February 9 (10am-4pm)
There’s a lot to be learned in this class! We will start with
the focal where we will create a right angle weave stitched
bezel that will perfectly encase your cabochon. We will then
jump to creating the beaded stars using the herringbone
stitch. Create a custom bail using odd-count peyote stitch
and string them all together to form this beautiful necklace.
Herringbone, right angle, and peyote stitch experience
is required. Materials list.
You won’t want to miss this triple threat experience. It has
it all – three dimensional beaded rings, beaded tube beads
and fabulous dagger and briolette fringing. What more
could you ask for? Reinforce your peyote stitching skills
and create this fashion forward necklace that is as fun to
make as it is to wear! Basic peyote stitch experience
is helpful but not required. Materials list.

Sunday, February 2 (10am-1pm)
Intro to Chainmaille \ $35
Wednesday, February 12 (6-9pm)
Get a comprehensive introduction to the popular braiding
technique called kumihimo! During this class you will learn

which you will learn a quick and easy finishing technique.
All skill levels welcome. Materials list.
Introduce yourself to the world of chainmaille in this
comprehensive workshop. We’ll discuss the importance of
precision sized jump rings, how to prepare and work with
jump rings, type of pliers to use, and how to weave this

the skills to advance to more complex chainmaille weaves
and beyond. A custom cut rings kit must be purchased
at workshop. All skill levels welcome. Materials list.

Flat Even Count Peyote fs \ $25
Sunday, February 2 (2-5pm)
Multi-Strand Gemstone Bracelet \ $25
Saturday, February 15 (10am-12pm)
Join us as we learn one of the most basic off-loom bead
weaving technique. The peyote stitch has been seen in
Native American beadwork as well as Ancient Egyptian
artifacts. It can be woven in an even count or odd count of
beads per row, although this class will be focused on the
more popular even count. We’ll be making this simple and
fashionable band bracelet featuring a Z hook clasp as the
focal. All skill levels welcome. Materials list.
Learn to make this pretty and fashionable multi-strand
bracelet using gemstones, pearls, seed beads or really any
combination of beads that fit your style. Easily designed to
fit any wrist size, this bracelet is all about showing off your
bead stash! Bring in a selection of beads and learn how to
create a fluid design that highlights them all and captures
your essence. All skill levels welcome. Materials list.

Bead Looming fs \ $25
Saturday, February 8 (10am-1pm)
Prisma Colored Copper \ $45
Saturday, February 15 (1-5pm)
Allow me to introduce you to looming. During this class
you will learn how to set up the loom, what materials are
appropriate to use, and the technique of looming. Most
importantly you will learn three different techniques for
finishing, none of which involve sewing in the threads. This
class will also address several ways to add a clasp, and an
added bonus of learning how to graph your own designs
for the future. All skill levels welcome. Materials list.
Learn to apply a beautiful color patina to copper jewelry
using Prisma Color pencils. This technique can be used on
any copper sheet form, but students will focus on making
at least one ring and one pendant in this class. Combining
colors and color layering will be taught as well. Some
metal fabrication experience is helpful but not required.
Materials list.

and forgotten how to start it? Here’s your chance to get
back on track and get them done with Wendy by your
side. Any student from Wendy’s previous chainmaille
classes are eligible to attend.

Basic Wire Working \ $35
Thursday, February 20 (6-9pm)
On the Rocks \ $25
Saturday, March 1 (10am-12pm)
Learn the secrets of wire working as we create the most
basic design elements in handcrafted jewelry. Students
will learn how to make jump rings, eye pins, caged bead,
a clasp, and a cute charm. After linking them all together,
you will leave with a professionally crafted bracelet, all
created by you! Heavy gauge wire requires good hand
strength. All skill levels welcome. Materials list.
This project is finger bling to the max! A combination of
antiqued wire and a couple of large crystals, plus a few
others, make this a “cocktail” ring that appears vintage
but is definitely not your Grandma’s ring. Perfect to wear
as a splashy index or middle finger ring. Wire wrapping
experience is helpful but not required. Materials list.

Speedy Loom Convertible \ $55
Saturday, February 22 (10am-4pm)
Gemstone Hinged Bangle \ $35
Saturday, March 1 (1-4pm)
Called “speedy looming” because that’s exactly what it is.
Beads are placed onto the warp threads before the loom is
dressed and that’s what allows you to move along quickly.
You’ll learn the technique of looming a row and then bringing in a bead from the warp threads. It’s twice as fast and
twice as sparkly since the beads end up in two different
directions. Basic looming experience is required.
Materials list.
Learn to move heavy gauge wire to form a hinged bangle
armature. This simple design can be easily customized
to highlight a few gorgeous gemstone beads or shards,
pearls and various beads types or found objects. Good
hand strength is helpful to move heavy gauge wire.
Materials list.
Beading Fundamentals \ $35 (includes all materials)
Sunday, February 23 (10am-12pm)
Finn \ $35
Sunday, March 2 (10am-1pm)

If you’ve been itching to try your hand at three dimensional
bead weaving, this is a great project to start off with. If
you already have some experience with dimensional right

stop with just one kitty. Right angle weave experience
is required. Dimensional bead weaving is helpful but
not required. Materials list.

Flat Right Angle Weave fs \ $25
Sunday, February 23 (1-4pm)
Stitched UFOs \ $25
Sunday, March 2 (2-5pm)
Right angle weave is one of the most popular foundation
stitch techniques out there. It’s seen in many forms, although we will be concentrating on the flat version in this

combining cells together and forming a grid pattern that is
so versatile and a popular foundation to many off loom
beaded designs. All skill levels welcome. Materials list.
Here’s your chance to tackle those “stitched” UFOs:
UnFinished Objects. Wendy will be at the helm of this
catch-up class and will gladly help you get back on track
or motivate you to finish that project from way back. Bring
any “Wendy” project or “foundation series” project and get
them done! If you have a project taught by another BBW
instructor or from a BBW kit, Wendy will do her best to
assist you too. Only BBW projects will qualify.
