Online Auction Guidelines
1. The KNS online auction site is www.24fundraiser.com/KensingtonNurserySchool and can
also be accessed via the school homepage.
2. Register as a bidder. Beware that competing bids during the auction are identified by
username. The winner of the item will be known only to the winner and the auction
Administrator.
3. The auction will be open from 6 pm on Tuesday, February 4 until 10 pm on Friday,
February 7.
4. When placing bids, please read description carefully for exclusions, locations and
expiration dates (e.g. The Silver Diner Certificate really expires in a few weeks!)
5. If questions or concerns arise during bidding, please contact [email protected]
6. Shortly after the auction closes Feb 7 at 10 pm, you will receive an invoice for your
winnings via email. Please follow instructions to pay for your winnings online via PayPal
(you can check out as guest, just as with Gala tickets).
7. Please pay your invoice online by noon, Feb 8 to ensure swift delivery at Gala. School
delivery arrangements can be made if you are not planning to attend Gala.
8. The online auction is open to everyone. Feel free to share the website with friends and
relatives to liven the bidding. However, please note -to yourself and to all those you
invite to bid - that KNS is not able to ship or deliver items beyond the school.
Live/Silent Auction Guidelines
1. The silent auction will be open for bids the day of the event from 7 pm until 9 pm. Each
item has an assigned number and a bid sheet listing the minimum acceptable bid and
raise. A person may bid by printing his/her bid number and amount of bid on the
appropriate sheet.
2. Each new bid should be written on the next available line on the bid sheet. A bid not
meeting the required minimum raise will be disqualified.
3. If during the last phase of the Silent Auction, two or more bidders find themselves in
heavy competition for the same item, the emcee shall request that said bidders submit
a sealed bid. The highest sealed bid shall be the purchaser.
4. In the event of a dispute, a designated auction “official” will have sole and final
authority to determine the successful bidder or re-offer the item for sale.
5. To claim your auction item(s) come to the cashier/welcome table, where we will
tabulate your total. We accept cash, personal checks (payable to KNS), and
Visa/MasterCard (suggested for larger transactions only). We cannot accept Discover or
American Express cards.
6. “Buy Now” items are available for purchase all evening at the “Buy Now” table.
7. Eligible tickets purchased online will be entered into FREE TUITION RAFFLE at check-in.
The winner will be drawn at random at the end of the evening and will receive credit for
one month’s tuition in the remaining school year. The winner does not need to be
present to win.
8. 50/50 Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each or 3 for $10 all evening (cash only). The
winner will be drawn at random at the end of the evening and will take home half the
pot, up to $300. The winner does not need to be present to win.

LIVE: FRAMED ORIGINAL ARTWORK "A YOUNG PIANIST"
Value: $ 200
This is a limited edition etching* by award-winning local artist Eunhee Park Dickerson. She is a
member of the Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda. She also happens to be the proud
grandmother of a KNS student. The etching is already framed, with a layer of non-glaring glass.
Dimensions are 12 x 14”. More information about the artist can be found on the Waverly Street
Gallery website.
*The technique involves using a needle to draw onto a metal plate. Then the artist inks the
plate, dampens some cotton paper and rolls them through a manual printing press. The artist
has done 10 prints of this particular work and will limit the total to 25. Each individual print is
numbered and signed.
