We offer you the benefit of this expertise when you choose to undertake a pilot training program in one of our training centres. Our unrivalled commercial pilot training network combined with our instructor expertise, high-fidelity training facilities and customer-centric approach make CAE the clear choice for your training needs. 01 | pilot.cae.com Why Choose CAE Proven track record in airline pilot training As the world’s largest airline training network with 40 global locations on 5 continents, CAE works with more airlines around the world than any other training organisation. Some of the airline customers that we have worked with in the past for self-sponsored type rating programs include Ryanair, easyJet, IndiGo and Jetstar. We leverage this network gaining valuable customer feedback to ensure that our programs remain on the cutting edge and provide trainee pilots with an authentic learning experience that fully prepares them for taking their seat in the cockpit of a commercial jet. For all your training requirements, through every stage of your pilot career, you can rely on CAE for consistent and standardized training of the highest quality. Instructor expertise An advocate. A mentor. A coach. With millions of training hours between them, our instructors provide a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from many years operating as pilots and instructors with airlines around the globe. They have unparalleled expertise and commitment to benefit you throughout your training with CAE. Of particular importance is the fact that we employ instructors who still fly and train with airlines today, thereby ensuring our students receive the most current and relevant expertise in their training. Value-add training CAE offers the most comprehensive range of training programs on the widest range of commercial aircraft types globally. This extensive portfolio means we offer more choice to newly-trained and experienced pilots than any other training organisation. In addition, integrated course add-ons further improve your training experience. We offer integrated Multi-Crew Cooperation and Jet Orientation Courses as well as integrated Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) training, all of which combine to ensure that our training goes well beyond minimum licensing requirements to fully prepare you for the modern cockpit. Our customer-centric approach also means that we are continually looking at new ways to add value to our training programs. From integrating comprehensive computer-based training, to discounted recurrent training packages and free simulator time for airlines to evaluate your skills for employment, CAE strives to give you the best possible value for your investment. When you combine this with CAE’s position as the unsurpassed global leader in pilot placement services, through CAE Parc Aviation, it all adds up to the leading type training offering in the industry today. pilot.cae.com | 2 Training Programs Type Rating Training CAE offers pilots one of the industry’s most advanced and comprehensive type rating training programs, covering a wide spectrum of commercial aircraft types. CAE’s type training programs combine CAE’s innovative methodologies, knowledgeable instructors and advanced simulation technology for a truly unique learning experience. CAE trains pilots using a practical and operationally integrated learning approach with all training carried out using computer-based training tools, flight training devices and Level C and D full-flight simulators. Standard Type Rating Course Footprint Our type training footprints vary according to centre and national regulatory approvals but you can rest assured that all of our training meets the highest standards of quality and safety, fully preparing you to fly your chosen aircraft. During an initial Type Rating pilots need to learn and review an enormous amount of study material within a short timeframe. For this reason, early access to the Advanced Type Rating Preparation material provides an excellent learning platform for students to perform at a high standard during the type rating course. The Aeroplane Systems CBT complies with the requirements of theoretical knowledge instruction mentioned in AMC FCL 1.261(a) and covers system description and the description of operational procedures. 12 months unlimited access is also provided to all pilots undertaking type rating training with CAE. This tool enables you to refresh your knowledge gained in the theoretical ATPL phase in preparation for the Licence Proficiency Check (LPC). It may also be useful at a later stage during airline technical interviews. pilot.cae.com | 06 07 | pilot.cae.com Multi Pilot Training Prior to commencing a type rating program, a multi pilot training program is often required for eligibility for pilot job roles and other times highly recommended. CAE’s multi pilot training gives students realistic training in operating a multi-pilot, multi-engine aircraft under IFR conditions. The objectives of the training are optimum decision making, communication, diversion of tasks and use of checklists, mutual supervision, teamwork and support, throughout all phases of flight under normal, abnormal and emergency conditions. The training emphasises the development of nontechnical skills applicable to working in a multi-crew environment. Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Courses CAE’s MCC courses are offered on Full Flight Simulators and provide comprehensive multi pilot training designed for pilots to secure their initial MCC certificate or for those pilots who would benefit from a refresher course as a result of limited flight experience or lack of current flight time. Jet Orientation Courses (JOC) CAE’s Jet Orientation Courses enable trainee pilots to the transition from flying slower single pilot aircraft to their first type rating in multi pilot aircraft (MPA) at airliner jet speeds. Its aim is to improve a trainee pilot’s jet handling skills and can be delivered to manufacturer or airline standard operating procedures (SOPs). Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) Training SEP Training is recommended training for all line pilots and required by many recruiting airlines so at CAE you can give yourself a head start by adding it to your MCC or Type Rating Training Course at a discounted price. pilot.cae.com | 08 09 | pilot.cae.com Due to variations in the regulatory requirements and the VAT rates applicable to our training programs, exact course footprints and corresponding price lists can be sourced directly from your preferred CAE Training Location.
