Rev. Tracey Holley, M.Div.
Director of Christian Education
First Mount Zion Baptist Church
Dumfries, Virginia
Reverend Tracey Dawkins Holley is thankful to God for the privilege to serve His people through the
Gospel Ministry. Born in Detroit, Michigan to Bill and Alma Dawson, she is the younger of two children.
She is a devoted wife of 17 years to Shelby Holley and the blessed mother of two children, a 12 year old son
and a 5 year old daughter.
In 2005, Reverend Holley graduated (with honors) from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology,
Virginia Union University with a Master of Divinity degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communications from Howard University in Washington, DC.
In 2006, after more than a decade of working in management -- overseeing operations and sales in the Northern
Virginia area for a National Staffing and Recruiting Firm -- she transitioned into full-time ministry and now serves
as the Minister of Christian Education at First Mount Zion Baptist Church, in Dumfries, VA, where she was
ordained under the Pastoral Leadership of Dr. Luke E. Torian.
Reverend Holley is a member of several organizations, including the National Consortium of Black Women
in Ministry; the Prince William Ministerial Association; the NAACP; Leadership Prince William, and the
Prince William County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Council, which is part of a national movement
that encourages positive experiences for young people thus contributing to them becoming healthy, caring,
and competent adults.
Because of her leadership abilities, commitment to the community, and call to service, Reverend Holley was
elected to serve on the Board of Directors of ACTS (Action in Community Through Service), a 41 year old
organization dedicated to eradicating homelessness, hunger and domestic violence. She was also elected to
serve on the Board of Regents of Leadership Prince William, a program dedicated to uniting leaders who are
committed to growing and strengthening their communities. Rev. Holley is the recipient of the Eboné Image
Award in the area of religion from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women; a summer fellow of the Joe
R. Engle Institute of Preaching at Princeton Theological Seminary; and a candidate for the Foundations of
Christian Leadership Program at Duke University.
Out of her obedience to God and the visions that He has given to her over the years, in 2010, Rev. Holley
birthed Fulfilling the Vision Ministries, Inc., an organization committed to community partnerships in service and
spiritual growth.
Rev. Holley is a humble servant. She is thankful for every opportunity extended to share the Word of God
and the hope that is found in Jesus Christ. She prays that minds will be renewed and that lives will be
transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Rev. Holley is reminded that had it not been for the Lord on
her side where would she be. She gives all glory and honor to the Lord for the provisions made in her life and
for the confidence of knowing that “He who hath begun a good work in [her] will complete it until the day of Jesus
Christ.” (Philippians 1:6).
