COMPANY PROFILE
On the initiative of some Italian businessmen who operates in Italy and Albania in
extraction and processing of inert materials fields and construction in general, in
2003 was founded "Gruppo Minerario Albanese Sh.p.K “The company’s head
office is in Rruga "Vangjel Noti" - Laprake, Tirana and it has multi years right of
exploitation of two aggregates quarries located north of the capital and more
precisely in Milot and Cekaj-Mirdita.
THE CORPORATE TEAM
The company has a capital of 78,412,000 leke fully paid up that corresponds of
about € 570,000. The company's structure consists of four members of the Italian
province of Udine, Varese and Perugia. Among the members is the Finance
Corporation for the Promotion of Economic Cooperation with Eastern Europe Finest Spa in Pordenone.

QUARRYING DEPOSITS AND PRODUCTION PLAND
As above mentioned, the company has two production concessions for:
• a quarry, near Milot, north of Tirana, for which the company has a
permit to extract alluvial aggregates (sands and gravels of river). The
exploitation area of 0.39 square km has annual reserves of 500,000
cubic meters;
• a deposit near the village of Cekaj not so far from Mirdita, also north
of Tirana, where the company has a permit for the mining of basalt
material. The deposit has an area of 0.85 square kilometers with a
geological reserve of approximately 140 million tons and
morphologically consists of three hills levels.
The company has its own plant for crushing / processing of inert materials,
recently built, located in Milot site. The plant is used both for processing of
aggregates and basaltic rocks working.
It is on a study phase the project for the construction of a second crushing /
processing plant for inert materials close to basalt deposit of Cekaj. The plant will
be built near the deposit at a short distance from the new highway linking Tirana
with the border of Kosovo.
BASALT AND THE ANALYSIS OF MATERIALS
The product is a basic chemistry with effusive magmatic rocks (basalt), which
shows a dark gray color.

APPLICATIONS
Aggregates coming from a crushing cycle of magmatic rocks (basalt) can be used
for many engineering works.
