Room. The late Sema Wilkes is a Savannah legend, famous for
her Southern cooking and hospitality, which continues today

DAY FOUR – Tybee Island and Historic Savannah
This morning it’s off to Tybee Island to visit the lighthouse that
has been the guardian of the Savannah River since 1736. We
visit the museum that features exhibits of early life on the island, and if you are feeling adventurous, take the exhilarating
walk up the 154-foot-tall lighthouse. Later, the streets of Savan-
DAYS ONE AND TWO – Depart and Booth Museum Visit
Following a welcome dinner and overnight in Kentucky we arrive in Georgia and visit the Booth Western Art Museum, featuring Civil War art, western movie posters and the remarkable
Presidential Gallery. (Dinner and breakfast)
DAY THREE – Gone With the Wind
Our journey continues in Georgia, legendary land of Gone With
the Wind. Look back at an era made famous by Margaret
Mitchell’s novel at the Road to Tara Museum with its original
props, reproduction costumes and photo gallery from the writing
“Battery at the Harbor,” Charleston, South Carolina

DAY FIVE – Jekyll Island
Today we travel down the coast to the southernmost island of
Georgia’s Golden Isles, Jekyll Island. Once an exclusive winter
retreat for America’s wealthiest families, Jekyll Island welcomes
us. Enjoy a tram tour of the Historic District that reveals the
fascinating story of the island. We top off our visit with a
Southern lunch at the exclusive Jekyll Island Club Hotel. There
will be free time to stroll the grounds of Jekyll Island’s Historic
District. Tonight we’re in for a treat with a Broadway-style production at the Historic Savannah Theatre, the nation’s oldest
continually operating theatre. Hum the night away as we enjoy
the high-energy production of Southern Nights, two hours of
music, dance and comedy. (Breakfast and lunch)
DAY SIX – The Charm of Charleston
This morning we travel to one of the most beautiful and historic cities in America, Charleston, South Carolina. History will
come alive as we travel along the quaint streets lined with antebellum homes and glorious gardens that peek out from behind
300-year-old iron gates. Our guided tour will take us to the famous “Battery at the Harbor,” which overlooks Fort Sumter,
where the Civil War erupted. Enjoy the Old Market and Exchange with some free time on your own. (Breakfast)
DAYS SEVEN AND EIGHT – Renfro Valley and Home
In Kentucky we are treated to live music at Renfro Valley followed by a farewell dinner before arriving home.
