Background
Result
The Independent Authorised Distributor Alliance (IADA) is a group of 18 companies
nationwide who offer industrial MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operation) supply
solutions. Together they have 54 branches across the UK.
The new catalogue has reinvigorated the company’s
image, given them a much greater presence in the
market and made it easier for the sales teams to sell
the products. The catalogue will help increase sales
as it enables IADA to compete on a level playing
field with larger, more established organisations –
something they haven’t been able to do before.
Need
The IADA members had been using a number of different (and often heavy) catalogues
supplied by a variety of manufacturers to show their customers the range of products
and services they offer, which added difficulty and confusion to the sales process.
They wanted to amalgamate all of the relevant products they sell from these different
catalogues into one newly created IADA catalogue with each of the 18 members
adding their own personalised branding.

Solution
Every one of my fellow IADA directors was over the
moon with the end result, many are already asking
for more copies and pushing for work on issue No.
2 to begin.
It was decided that the most effective solution would be to create 18 versions of the
same catalogue which would have personalised front and back covers for each of the
members. Each cover would have that member’s own information and branding while
all of the inner product information pages were kept the same.
Suzanne has been with us every step of the way,
guiding us through what was a totally new venture
in creating a catalogue. Her advice and support has
been invaluable, I can honestly say that I would have
been lost without her.”
An online project communications suite was used to coordinate and project manage
the catalogue’s entire content with ease. The IADA Marketing Director could keep the
whole project on track in real time by regularly checking the updated pages. These
were designed and put together by the AlphaGraphics design studio as manufacturers
uploaded all relevant content and images which related to their products. Overall there
were 18 different IADA members, 20 different manufacturers, 160 pages and 8,000
copies printed.
