At the foot of The Alhambra one can find the restaurant Ruta del Azafrán. It is in the
incomparable setting of the Paseo de los Tristes right in the Albaicín, which is perfect
for the traveller that loves to soak up history.
Our kitchen, surrounded by this extraordinary scenery, can be found in the same mix of
cultures alternating between Arab flavors, international foods and the traditional tastes
from Andalucía. It’s worth to mention our Tuna Tataki, the Cous-Cous (chicken, lamb
or vegetable), Duck Magret, Moorish Pie and also undoubtedly our homemade desserts.
All of this accompanied by the best local wines, cavas from the Alpujarra mountains
and a special selection of Rioja and Ribera del Duero wines.
The restaurant Ruta del Azafrán offers different menus for groups that are carefully put
together by our chef to provide the most exquisite flavors.
All of our meats are Halal and we are ready to accept any request with respect to this.
We have a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Our kitchen professionals who make up a highly qualified team assemble all of the

combined experience: a careful traditional cuisine with local quality products in the exquisite
location of the Albaicin and the Alhambra, followed by a Flamenco show , one of our city best
known performances that takes place in a singular space, ambient lighting, which was once
the living room of the house of a traditional family of Sacromonte.
