A thorough examination of your site by a professional landscape designer is absolutely crucial. Our highly-trained and experienced designers plan and execute your project the Grunder way, ensuring its success. To begin the designer takes note of pre-existing conditions, drainage, soil, healthy and unhealthy plants, just to name a few. Also, when you first meet with a designer, they will ask you many questions. How do you currently use the site? How would you like to use the area? Do you have children, pets? Do you entertain a lot? How much time do you like to spend maintaining your landscape? If a landscape is rushed to installation without these important considerations it will likely fail. It will fail to meet your expectations and it will fail to thrive and grow in value. The next step in the design process is the creative stage. Our designers bring back all of the previously mentioned information and begin to concept how the area will look and what plants will thrive in it. Their professional knowledge of plant habits and requirements, landscape construction and landscape maintenance are kept in mind as they create the perfect environment for you. A scaled, base drawing is created, showing the area to be landscaped. From there, our design team creates a custom-plan drawing for presentation to you. It shows the area in “plan view” (a.k.a. “a bird’s eye view”) with photos of the selected plants and examples of any other features that may be incorporated, such as stone, pavers, arbors, trellises, etc. When the plan is presented a designer explains the features of the new landscape in detail. Our designers are trained to communicate all aspects of the project to you including the construction phase of the project. We want you to feel confident about the process that will occur, as well as confident in the end-result of your project. We are dedicated to listening to your concerns and answering any questions you may have. Finally, our clean equipment and professional crews show up to complete your job. These Grunder team members are also dedicated to your satisfaction. They are available for any questions you may have and are empowered to solve any issues that may arise during construction. Although the process from planning to construction is detailed, we are efficient and move through it reasonably quickly. Allowing time for proper planning is imperative at our organization—the success of your project depends on it. Therefore, if you are considering an update at your property, from a perennial garden to a new patio, call us today and let’s get the creative juices flowing. The rewards for planning and executing a landscape project the Grunder way are beyond compare! m c d b A DREAM BECOMES REALITY a) A ll of the clients’ wishes are included in this comprehensive design plan. This is how your plan will look, a birds’ eye view of your property with all the plants and landscape features specified. b ) Photo of the Koi Pond off of the back patio. Notice the well-planned features such as the waterfall, granite boulder surround and aquatic plants. c) A cluster of blooming perennials from a colorful planting bed in the side yard. d) Even the outlying areas, where plantings become less dense and more informal, are perfectly planned to include the clients’ favorite shade trees. e) Notice that the front landscape design does its job: It echoes the homes’ style and grandeur while beckoning toward the front entry. e
