Honoring Students 1 Calendar of Event 2-3 Program Descriptions 4 We want to say a big thank you and congratulations to the students who completed their field placements at Snowbird Lodge this year, Beverley Kihithee, Alva Brook, and Betty Beaudry. Field placements provide students with an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and assist them in understanding the range of services offered by ANCR. Beverley Kithithee is presently completing her social work degree at the Inner City Social Work program through the University of Manitoba. After her placement at Snowbird Lodge she was hired at ANCR as a Social Worker in the Early Intervention Program. Alva Brook also completed her placement at Snowbird Lodge in April. Alva graduated from the First Nations Child & Family Services Diploma Program at Yellowquill College this summer. Betty Beaudry came to us from Red River Community College and has since completed her program in Applied Counseling Certificate program. Everyone here at Snowbird Lodge who had an opportunity to work with the students appreciated their help and knowledge that they brought. Snowbird Lodge ensures holistic and wrap around services through culturally appropriate and supportive programs. The families that attend are referred by ANCR, external CFS Agencies and self referrals.
