Aerial of Southport SOUTHPORT SOCIAL EVENTS MARK YOUR CALENDARS for these upcoming events in 2014 Saturday, March 22 “Two Comics & A Crooner” Featuring stand-up comics and Joey Canzano, “A Man of Many Voices,” from Sinatra and Tom Jones to Neil Diamond and Elvis, this is a night not to be missed. Wednesday, May 14 Annual Senior Health & Fitness Day A host of activities and exhibits are featured in this popular annual event. Saturday, May 31 Kick off the summer with Danny Quinn, a Southport favorite. Saturday, June 28 Old Fashioned Cape Cod Clam Bake Thursday, July 31 Hawaiian Luau Sunset Summer with John Morgan at the bocce courts. Don’t miss the fun this year! From golf and food to politics and fashion, 2013 was filled with lots of fun and excitement for Southport homeowners. WBZ 1030 News Radio and Dan Rea, host of “NightSide with Dan Rea” had a live broadcast of his “Talk the Vote” series during the hotly contested US Senate Race. In June, WROR’s “Morning Team” had another successful Golf Day where prospective buyers played golf with Southport homeowners and WROR radio personalities. That evening, Southport hosted the annual Mashpee Chamber of Commerce’s “Taste of Mashpee.” Nearly 300 homeowners and prospective buyers had a chance to taste great food from area restaurants and also get a taste of what fun Southport homeowners have living there. In October, Southport hosted a Fashion Show sponsored by OCEAN 104.7 FM and the Current Quarterly. Two dozen Southport ladies modeled the latest fashion trends on a runway in the Grand Ballroom to the delight of Southport homeowners and prospective buyers. In December, the Southport Garden Club again displayed their many talents by decorating the designer models and Village Center for the holidays, a Southport tradition that is appreciated by everyone. Appearing with several other 50+ builders from around the United States, Ron shared some of the secrets to building and marketing successful active adult communities.
