82 Annual Le Mans 24 Hours
Team Audi Upsets Favorites in Storied Endurance Event Le Mans, France
(June 15, 2014) – In front of nearly 300,000 spectators, Audi continued its unique
string of victories in the Le Mans 24 Hours. In the 82nd running of the world’s most
important endurance race, Marcel Fässler/André Lotterer/Benoît Tréluyer (CH/D/F)
and Lucas di Grassi/Marc Gené/Tom Kristensen (BR/E/DK) made for a one-two
Audi victory. Despite being underdogs to Team Porsche and Team Toyota entering
the event, the Audi team, dominated much of the grueling contest before sweeping
the top two coveted spots on the podium.
International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) SportMods
Ben Kates Blasts to Win #10 of 2014 Boone, IA (June 7, 2014) – Tonganoxie,
Kansas competitor, Ben Kates, continues to enjoy a breakout season in 2014, and
at Boone Speedway he increased his win tally to double digits. Twenty-three IMCA
Sport Mod competitors filled the pit area at the 1/3-mile oval, and despite starting
tenth on the grid. Kates quickly worked his way to the lead and pulled another
victory in his Eibach Springs #23 Kates Motorsports entry.

Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA)
John Anderson Snares Southern Iowa Loot Oskaloosa, IA (June 12, 2014) –
After spending most of the 2013 season out of the driver’s seat, John Anderson
made the move to Bill Koons Motorsports for 2014. At Southern Iowa Speedway he
made the most of the new opportunity with a $3,000 triumph, his first of the season.
Anderson led every lap to top the field of 28 Lucas Oil MLRA foes in his Eibach
Springs #21x Rocket Super Late Model.
UMP Late Model Summernationals
Billy Moyer Masters Kankakee County for $5,000 Payday Kankakee, IL (June
12, 2014) – Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer, Billy Moyer, overtook his son, Billy
Moyer Jr., for the lead on lap 9 of the 50 lapper at Kankakee County Speedway
on his way to the $5,000 win in the opening round of the 2014 edition of the UMP
Summernationals. With the triumph in his #21 Moyer Extreme by Longhorn/Eibach
Super Late Model, Moyer pushed his 2014 tally to six wins as his career victory tally
went up to 781.

Ricky Thornton Jr. Thumps Canyon Competitors Peoria, AZ (June 14, 2014) –
Chandler, Arizona’s Ricky Thornton Jr. has been a total nightmare for west coast
Modified competitors this year. He continued his dominant tendencies by racing
through the pack from the tenth starting spot to notch the IMCA Modified feature
triumph at Canyon Speedway Park in his Eibach #5m Madrid Motorsports hot rod.
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS)
O’Neal Is the Real Deal in Clash at the Mag Columbus, MS (June 14, 2014) – The
triumph was far from easy but Don O’Neal maintained his focus at Magnolia Motor
Speedway, allowing him to snare the $20,000 winner’s check. The Lucas Oil Late
Model Dirt Series 100 lap finale at the state-of-the-art oval proved to be a raceof-the-year contender. Starting fourth on the grid, O’Neal first took the lead in his
Eibach #5 Clint Bowyer Racing Barry Wright entry on lap 29 from Randy Weaver,
but that was just the beginning. Don and a hard-charging Jimmy Owens traded the
lead five times over the next 70 laps with O’Neal taking control for good on lap 90.
He led the final ten laps to score his fourth win of 2014 and extend his advantage
atop the series standings

Ryan Gustin Reaps Redemption at Randolph County Moberly, MO (June
14, 2014) – One night after falling one spot short of the victory, Ryan Gustin
triumphantly redeemed himself by winning the field at Randolph County Speedway
for the $3,000 Lucas Oil MLRA Super Late Model victory. Gustin outgunned fellow
front row starter, Terry Phillips, for the lead at the drop of the green flag and went on
to cruise to his fifth win of the year in his Gressel Racing #19 Eibach/Rocket Super
Late Model.
United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS)
Zack VanderBeek Enjoys the Taste of Farm Boy BBQ Jim Falls, WI (June 14,
2014) – Zack VanderBeek is the 2014 champion of the Farm Boy BBQ Sauce
Northern Region presented by Day Motor Sports. VanderBeek enjoyed a stellar
month of May and June in the region to clinch the title. He also raced to two series
victories along the way. VanderBeek clinched the title on Friday evening at Cedar
Lake Speedway.

Gustin Back on Top at Independence Independence, IA (June 14, 2014) – While
bad luck has been unkind to Jenae Gustin over the past month she found her way
back to the top quickly at Independence Motor Speedway by advancing from the
tenth starting spot to snare the win in her Eibach #19g IMCA SportMod.
Mid America Racing Series (MARS)
Will Vaught Overcomes Adversity for Outlaw Checkers Muskogee, OK (June
14, 2014) – A determined Will Vaught competed in Lucas Oil MLRA Late Model
action at the $3,000-to-win, MARS Super Late Model at Outlaw Motor Speedway. A
flat tire held him up during the race’s early stages but he would not be deterred as
he rejoined the tail of the field before rocketing through the pack, passing a dozen
cars in just two laps. A few circuits later found him catapulting into the top spot,
where he went on to his third win of 2014 in his #1v Eibach/Warrior Super Late
Model.
