Form is temporary, class is permanent. This may be
a quote more associated with football but the same
can be said about this company that has been at the
forefront of bait development for many years. Never
one to rest on their laurels the new S-core range may
well have hit the back of the net for anglers, removing
the doubt of which bait is best and allowing you to
concentrate on catching fish. You can read more
about S-core later on in this brochure and I strongly
suggest you do if my experiences in the field trials were
anything to go by.

Solid Bag Mix
1 : The Stik-Quids are the
perfect accompaniment to the
Stik Mix & Spod Booster.
1 : All you need is the Richworth
Solid Bag Mix, a Rapide Load
PVA System and an inline lead
with a short braided hooklength.
2 : Gradually add the StikQuid of your choice and mix
thoroughly.
2 : Attach the PVA bag to the
loading tool then place a small
amount of pellet and your
hookbait in the bag.
3 : The dampened Stick Mix
should only just hold together
when squeezed.
3 : Drop the lead into the
bag, fill the bag with the Solid
Bag Mix to within 1½” of the
bottom of the loading tool.
4 : An optional, but
recommended extra is some
fresh boilie crumb – this is the
frozen K-G-1 crumbed.
4 : Twist the tool through 360
degrees then lick the remaining
PVA around the loading tool.
5 : Make up your Stick in the
conventional way.
5 : Push the loading tool back
over the bag and the bag will
be tied.
6 : Oozing plenty of attraction,
the finished Stick breaks down
quickly and is the perfect tactic
for a quick bite.

can be sure that Richworth’s 1st Contact groundbaits
are the best you can buy. All are made using proven
attractants which catch fish time and time again.
Each groundbait in the range has its own unique
blend of ingredients and flavours to help you get the
best from your fishing.
Stik-quids are a liquid attractant that can be easily
added to enhance any stick mix, groundbait, spod
mix or even poured over pellets to give a good
boost of flavoured attractant. They are available in
six top flavours.

S-Core Bait
S-core boilies contain our unique
Aminoplex biostimulant and are
available in both frozen and shelf-life
versions in 14mm and 18mm, during
18 months of testing they out-fished
an identical boilie (not containing the
stimulant) by 3-1.
What is the key to catching fish? Well,
I don’t think anyone would argue that
locating your quarry is crucial but then
you must give them a bait they want to
eat or all the watercraft in the world will
be wasted. Imagine then a trigger that
would ensure this happened on every
occasion – sounds too good to be true or
has Richworth unlocked the key to fishes’
appetites?
S-core boilies come in both frozen and
fresh form at 14mm and 18mm sizes. As
soon as you smell and see this bird food
based bait you will know you are onto a
winner. 4mm and 8mm pellets can be used
as an alternative or in spod or PVA mixes
to accompany the boilie. Your hookbait
requirements have also been catered for
with a dedicated pop up and the awesome
aminoplex serum and I still haven’t finished
with a groundbait impregnated with the
secret amino acid combination.

Air-drying Boilies
The main reason for air-drying baits is for
preservation purposes. All of our frozen range
at Richworth air-dry brilliantly, but a careful
process has to be followed to achieve this
state. Make sure that the baits are completely
thawed out in their bag first, as all the ice in
the bag contains attractants that need to be
drawn back into the boilies. When completely
thawed out, spread the baits on air-drying
racks which most good tackle shops supply.
Freezer Baits
It’s no wonder that with over 30 years of experience at producing
top quality frozen boilies that Richworth are still where they should
be at the top of the tree. The method we use to blast freeze our
baits ensures that all the goodness we use in the production
stage is locked inside and ready for you. Couple this with the fact
that the delivery system we use incorporates the use of insulated
packaging. All-in-all when you purchase a bag of Richworth frozen
baits, rest assured we have gone to every length to make sure you
are getting the highest quality frozen baits available today.
If you don’t have one a towel works well
placed in a warm dry place, alternatively
an old pillow case to hang them up in. It’s
important that the boilies are shaken or
moved around periodically to ensure even
drying. The end result is a biscuit effect with
the boilies. These will survive indefinitely,
but will keep on shrinking during the drying
process. So choose the size of your boilies
carefully. An awesome tip to re-hydrate your
boilies prior to use is to put the boilies in a
container and pour one of the following over
them, Corn Steep Liquor, Minamino or any
of our liquid supplements. This gives the bait
a massive release of attraction immediately
into the swim. This method is known as rehydration and, we kid you not, is well worth
the effort.

Tips for Boilie Pellets
The hookable boilie pellet range has, as no surprise to us, been a success story
from the start. Like their big brothers (dumbell boilie pellets) these baits are
designed to be difficult for fish to eject. 10mm in diameter and 14mm long
these make an excellent alternative hookbait to standard boilies. When used in
conjunction with a PVA bag of Richworth pellets you have a winning combination
every time. Who said single hookbaits had to be buoyant? A couple of tubs of
these in your rucksack makes massive sense in any fishing situation.
The only difference in the make up of dumbell boilies is the visual side of things. All
the same ingredients are used in their production. These baits are 14mm in diameter
and 20mm long giving them the appearance of a large pellet. Because of their dumbell
shape we at Richworth feel that fish will find them hard to eject once picked up.
An edge in a bag is a term I would use. Try making an unusual snowman by using an
airo dumbell pop-up with them. Couple this presentation with a PVA bag of Richworth
pellet and you have a winning combination every time. Available in nine different

One egg is cracked into a bowl.
Half the recommended dosage (for one egg) of complex liquid is added.
Add a teaspoon of egg albumen.
Mix it up with a fork and slowly start adding the complementary base mix.
Keep adding the base mix until the consistency is right (doesn’t feel too sticky).
Either roll the baits to the desired shape by hand, or use a bait gun and a rolling table.
If using a rolling table then make the cylinders a lower diameter than recommended.
For example I have been using a 10mm table with 6mm sausage from the bait gun,
making neat little 10mm by 6mm barrels.
Once the baits are rolled I boil them for a minute and a half, and leave them to dry
before putting them in the freezer.

Produced from our ultra buoyant pop-up mix.
These baits will remain buoyant in excess of 48
hours whilst giving maximum leak-off. Many
months were spent testing these baits and we
are now completely confident that Richworth

Make your own - Airo Pop-Ups
Richworth Airo Pop-ups are the best ready-made
pop-ups you can buy, but you can also make
your own if you like, using the brilliant Richworth
Pop-up Mix. It’s easy to use and available in five
different variations to suit your preference.
1 : All you need is a pop up mix
and flavour, simple!
2 : Mix the dry ingredients,
if a hard bait is required Egg
Albumen can be added at this
stage.

3 : Add the recommended
amount of your chosen flavour
to the dry mix.
4 : Once the flavour is well mixed,
start adding water, a little at a
time, mixing after each pour.
Pop-Up Mix
5 : It will eventually come
together to form a paste similar
to a dough consistency.
The powder used in these mixes is believed to be the lightest in the world. By
including this in our mixes at Richworth we have managed to produce what is
renowned to be the best pop-up mix available on the market today. Whether it’s
pop-ups you’re making or a floating paste, you need look no further. The mix is
produced from natural ingredients and will remain buoyant for at least two days if
prepared correctly. (Follow the step-by-step guide in this brochure.)
6 : Either by hand or table, roll
out your desired size and shape
of bait.
A high leakage rate makes this mix the only choice for single fluoro pop-up fishing.
Our pop-up mix is available in five different types: Natural (white), Dayglow Pink,
Dayglow Yellow, Dayglow Orange and a light brown fishmeal base. The fishmeal base
was introduced for those of you who like to match your pop-ups with your bottom
baits. We have taken the experimentation with colour blends out of the equation for
you with the Dayglows. If the best pop-up mix available is what you insist on using,
then you have just found it.
7 : On average, baits around 1014mm will need 2 min boiling, for
larger baits 2.5 minutes is fine.
8 : Once boiled air dry for 1-2
days. There is no end to alternative
colours and flavours, only your
imagination is stopping you!

N-V: A digestible marine mix that contains
optimum levels of proteins and the addition
of some very special natural powders, one of
which gives N-V its unique green colour. The
only additions required to make your own N-V
boilies, are eggs and the N-V liquid additive.
XLR8: XLR8 is an excellent combination of
the very best fish attractors and additives
combined with a natural marine base. XLR8
is so advanced all it needs in addition to the
base mix is the liquid additive.
K-G-1: A highly digestible fishmeal mix,
blended with milk proteins and natural
ingredients at optimum levels, puts this bait in
a class of its own.
Ultra-Plex: As with Com-Plex the highly
regarded Robin Red is present at optimum
levels but with the addition of many pure
natural ingredients.
Base Mixes
Big Fish Mix: A fishmeal mix with a
difference. Has a lower fat content that is
nutritionally beneficial. A great winter bait.
Bird Food Mix: A blend of milk proteins,
binders, minerals, vitamins and a top quality,
yellow rearing food.
Fish Meal Mix: A blend of special fine quality
fishmeal for maximum digestibility fishmeals,
proteins and binders.
Multi-Plex: Multi-Plex has been a huge
success for anglers. This is the full version we
use for our own boilies with nothing left out
and it’s stunning.
50/50 Gold: A mixture of milk proteins,
vitamealo and binding ingredients. Has all
the qualities of our original 50/50, but with a
higher food profile.
50/50 Mix: The original and still the best bulk
mix for anglers who use large quantities.
Base Mixes
In the modern world of carp fishing baits, almost every company concentrates on
supplying a range of ready-rolled boilies as indeed we do at Richworth. But we
also realise the need to offer those of you who still like to add that personal touch
to your baits. A range of high quality base mixes and natural liquid ingredients.
All of our base mixes contain a finely balanced food profile which allows
maximum flavour leakage. Also each mix is packed with taste enhancers and food
stimulants. Not enough thought is put into the taste of carp baits nowadays, at
Richworth this is one of our main priorities. Our mixes contain only the finest
ingredients which can be rolled easily. The fishmeal mixes contain high quality
meshed fishmeals, as well as milk proteins to give a balanced food content. The
birdfood mix has added extras which make this mix incredibly easy to roll, unlike
most birdfood mixes. The milk mixes are formulated with the purest New Zealand
milk powders which are regarded as the best. Combine all these points and
what you, the angler, has is access to a range of products to cover nearly every
bait making combination you can imagine. There are many different mixes in our
range so all-in-all we offer something for everyone.
Activextracts
Activextracts and Supplements
ActiveXtracts are a bit special. They are baits that can be used when the
chips are down and bites are really difficult to tempt, or whenever you
think that the fish might not want to feed on huge beds of bait. Think
of it - a paste that can be rolled into a ball, left to air-dry, bounced off a
work surface, hair-rigged like a boilie and then, when it is immersed in
water, breaks down at a controlled rate. When hair-rigged, ActiveXtracts
shrink slightly, gripping the hair, yet the outside of the bait exudes a
halo of flavour.
ActiveXtracts work because they are pure, natural powders containing
ridiculously high levels of protein and because they provide carp with
high levels of nutrition without needing to introduce huge amounts of
bait. Because carp and other cyprinoids have highly advanced chemo
reception systems they can detect the goodness in ActiveXtracts before
they ingest them. Not a bait to pile in, but one to fish in conjunction with
a two or three bait stringer. Developed for carp, barbel and chub. A tub
of ActiveXtracts makes, depending on the blend and liquid chosen, up
to 200gms of finished product which equates to 50 x 18mm hookbaits.

Every year I get thousands of
photos emailed over to me,
either for inclusion on our web
site or in the angling press and
it always amazes me just how
many new personal bests get
set at the complex.
2012 seemed to be a bumper year
for new “PB’s”, especially for anglers
fishing Brasenose-One, from they’re
first ever double to a dream thirty, the
photo would always tell the same tale
of one very happy angler. BrasenoseOne has gone from strength to
strength in recent years, in fact only
two years ago we estimated that there
were only about three thirties in the
water, that figure is now closer to
thirty, with more coming through each
season and if you fancy landing your
first ever twenty, there are more in this
water than any other at the complex,
so give it a go.
2012 proved to be another productive
year with plenty of fish being landed
despite everything the weather
through at us; Manor Farm claimed
the biggest with “Spike” at 46lb but
other notable catches included “The
Big Plated” at over 44lb, a stunning
common of just under 46lb from the
Guy Lakes Syndicate and new lake
record for Oxlease in the shape of a
truly awesome 43lb common. However
it wasn’t just about big fish, as always
we had plenty of other events going
on, this included arguably the best
ever British Junior Champs and our
first ever Open Day, something we
now plan to make an annual event, so
if your free on May the 11th 2013 come
along.
We also continued with our charity
work for the Motor Neurone Disease
Association, smashing our 2011 total
of £17,500 with over £23,000 raised.
Again this event was supported
brilliantly by the angling trade,
with many of the country’s leading
carp anglers along with an army of
volunteers giving up their own time
and of course the anglers that bought
raffle tickets and paid to fish the main

Dips, Extracts and Flavours
When it comes to flavours the only limitation is your
imagination. We produce over 100 flavours all of
which have been tested and proved to be excellent
fish attractors.
With a little imagination there are literally
thousands of combinations for you to try, for
instance we know that a few years ago a lot of
anglers were using Plum Royale and Crab and
Mussel mixed at a rate of 70% Plum and 30%
Crab with absolutely devastating results. Another
combination which has been used to great effect is
Aniseed and Maple at a 50/50 rate. We have also
heard from people that have blended three and
even four flavours together with immense success.
So go on, let your imagination run wild.

All hand-picked because we believe them to be guaranteed top carp
catchers. They’re highly concentrated (double strength), and made
from only the purest liquids. Many have been individually blended to
create truly unique and individual attractors that keep catching year

Impact Boilie Dips
Boilie dips serve lots of purposes and it makes a lot of sense to use them
as part of your armoury. By soaking hookbaits you give the carp a helping
hand to find the rig. If using a bed of bait the signal from the hookbait will
mean it is one of the first baits picked up and not the last. When using

This high attraction bait has been specially
designed to be effective throughout the entire
season by using the finest liquid and powdered
attractors for barbel. To use effectively simply
combine with a hair rig and a semi fixed lead set
up along with a PVA stringer of free offerings.
When introducing loose feed try breaking the
baits in half to maximise the scent trail that will
draw barbel to you.
Cutting Edge Carpin’- £11.75
Xtracta Barbel Booster - 130ml
This potent liquid can be used as a glug/soak for both the boilie and paste
to give your bait an un-missable ‘eat me’ signal to the barbel. To draw the
most amount of booster into the bait apply when frozen so it is drawn in as
the boilie or paste defrosts. It also makes a great addition to the groundbait
in this range. Add as required to the water you intend to use to dampen the
mix to guarantee an even distribution. As the balls break up the booster is
washed downstream stimulating the barbel to feed.
Xtracta Groundbait - 1kg
This groundbait is designed for river fishing and specifically for the fast flows barbel love – it has the
same special attractors included in the range’s other baits plus a couple more from the TOP SECRET
drawer! It is also a heavy mix, which binds together well making placement easy. A good starting
point is to introduce half a dozen tangerine size balls laced with pellets allow them to ‘stew’ for half an
hour. Then cast a boilie over the top and hold onto your rod!

If you need to grab the barbel’s attention in
a large river or flood simply mould a layer of
paste around your boilie hookbait to ensure it
won’t be missed. Its tacky nature guarantees the
paste will stay in place during the cast but being
packed with powdered attractors instantly
causes the ‘feeding trigger’ to be turned on
once in place on the river bed. Alternatively
a superb stalking bait can be made by either
moulding around the hook while leaving its
point exposed or replace your boilie on a hair
rig with a cork ball and mould paste around this
giving a critically balanced set up.
It goes without saying that barbel adore pellets and no range would be
complete without their inclusion. The Xtractor version has been made to
compliment both the boilies and groundbait encouraging the fish to feed.
Due to the ingredients and attractors used these will work both in winter and
summer overcoming a traditional problem with this style of barbel food. Feed
via a bait dropper, within groundbait or simply place a palm full inside a PVA
mesh bag and attach to your rig giving the boilie hook bait an even bigger draw.
