The Yolo County YMCA has been serving the
Woodland community for more than125 years!
Whether it’s childcare, youth sports or fitness we
are here for our community! Our preschool
opened its doors in 1982 and has been running
strong since. At the Y, our youth learn positive
behaviors, develop healthy habits, and explore
their talents and interests that will help them
realize their potential. That makes for confident
kids today and contributing, engaged adults
tomorrow. !

The Y Experience!
Our program provides a safe and educational
experience throughout our day that allows children to
have a fun and interactive experience to explore
literacy, math, and science while enhancing a child's
social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth
and development. Our curriculum focuses on the
following fundamentals: literacy, math, dramatic play,
creative experience, building social skills, sensory
play, science and discovery, fine motor skills, gross
motor skills and language development. !

Experienced Teachers!
All of our teachers have been fingerprinted, background
checked and have at least 12 early childhood education
units. They all attend annual trainings and conferences
to continue their education. Our teachers have over
60 years of experience combined!!

Y Assist Scholarships!
YMCA financial assistance provides for the needs of
families who cannot afford the full cost of YMCA
membership and programs.!The YMCA is committed to
being accessible to all, and works hard to support
those who may be in challenging financial situations.
Financial assistance is offered to the extent that
funds are available. Applications are available at the
front desk and online, they are accepted at the time
of registration. Families can turn in an application
anytime and will be placed on the waiting list if all
funds have been exhausted. Financial assistance!funds
are made possible through the generous gifts of
individuals and businesses in the Woodland
community through our Strong Kids Campaign.!
