copper tone reflections - spectral captures twilight at Two Ponds - the nation's smallest urban wildlife refuge. Reeds, trees, grasses and clouds
are among the reflected images from the sky into the waters across each of the two ponds. A challenge to the senses in discerning up from down, but
sparking quiet reflection where neither what is part of up or part of down actually matters. what we see is a perception of the moment - a reflection
of past, present and future moments converging in an instant of awareness
walkabouts conveys a story of movement - past, present and future as an elegant snowy egret prances along a railing...its actions are framed with
the remnants of a bull snake's shed skin found along the road and the footprint impressions left on a sandy path by a family of raccoons on their
return from a pond.
things are looking up is an urban photage, a metaphor for Colorado's lofty altitude without the attitude, and which showcases skyward-looking
geometric and architectural elements in varied hues of blue, gray and white. Each image is infused with breaths of sky and light...from the seemingly
endless clear blue vista above the streetlamps, both sources of light but one cast in shadow, the other bathed in light to the sundial's gnomon
reaching for the clouds but casting a shadow below; and, finally to a defined space grappling within its concrete and steel borders and fighting for a
