THE BEST WEDDING HAIR BLING FROM BRIDAL FASHION WEEK On the Spring 2016 Bridal Fashion Week runways this season, it wasn't just those ring fingers that were sparkling. At many shows, the hair was positively twinkling, too! From pearls to rhinestones to silver spikes, we saw it all — and it was gorgeous. Here are our favorite examples of big-day hair bling. The New year brings new hair trends and brides-to-be are busier than ever with all the prep involved in making their wedding day one to remember. First things first and let's face it, us girls start visualizing and dreaming of "the look" – hair and make up and the special dress of course – soon after the proposal. It's such a lovely exciting time in our lives that we will remember forever. Here’s just a brief from the talented hair team at DSalon in Ibrag of our top bridal hair looks for all girls walking down the aisle this year. Embellished Braids To achieve the glittery, almost ice-princess-like braids at the Reem Acra show, hairstylist Joe DiMaggio wove shimmery beaded trim through braided hair extensions. (And yes, the models were all wearing extensions — they did not have waist-length hair!). To finish the look, he then applied tiny sparkly appliqués — using the heat of a curling iron to activate the adhesive — to back and sides of the models' heads. We even spied designer Reem Acra herself with a few sparkles in her hair Eye-catching crowns Sure, the spiky silver crowns at the Naeem Khan show aren't for everyone. (They gave us a definite Game of Thrones vibe, after all.) But for the bold bride? Well, there's no cooler way to make a hair statement. Intricate accessories At the Marchesa show, the models' sleek looped buns looked fairly simple until they were topped off with elaborate bejeweled hair combs. Created by Erickson Beamon, the accessories served as a fresh, modern take on the traditional sparkly tiara. My best hair advice for brides-to-be getting married this year is to plan ahead and book your wedding hair at the salon in advance as well as a bridal hair trial around a month before. It's best to start going to the salon you wish to get your hair done at for your wedding for the stylists to get used to your hair and also for you to get to know the team. Bridal hair trials are key for the stylist to get to know your character, likes and dislikes and to create something special to suit your face and your personality best. Once you have selected the dress its time to start thinking of your hair and make up so don't leave it till the very end to plan out your look. A talented and creative hairstylist who loves wedding hair will help you achieve your special look that will truly make you shine and at the salon this is just what we do!
