Revenue
As a World Dating Partners (WDP) affiliate you are paid on a commission basis,
on a "Recurring model." The recurring model is a program in which you are
paid a percentage of each sale, PLUS a percentage of each recurring - or
renewing - membership. The percentage depends entirely on your visitor rate
and starts from 50% per initial and 50% per recurring sale ratio for dating system
and 70% and 30% for adult. It means that you retain your members for life, and if
they pay again after a year of being free members on the site, you still get 50%
or 30% commission from these sales.
Many webmasters prefer the partnership/recurring programs to the pay-persign-up offerings, because they view this approach as a more long-term, serious
investment in getting a predictable (and hopefully growing) monthly check
from the sponsor rather than only trying to "hook" new sales every month with
the pay-per-sign-up model.
WDP recurring partnership program pays 50%/70% of the initial payment from
every partner that joins, and 50%/30% of all recurring payments. If we take
dating with it's 50/50 breakdown as an example. You would get 50% of the
income on the initial sale (our $35 average membership would yield $17.5 to
you), and you would get 50% of the income on every renewal that the member
makes each month afterwards. So, say the member renews for another 3
months at $105 - you would get 50% of that renewal fee ($52.5), plus you would
be eligible to receive another 50% commission from any other (further) renewal
that this same member makes. So over the course of 4 months (joining plus 3
months renewal is our average retention of paid members on the site), you
could potentially make $17.5 from the initial sale, $52.5 for three more month
renewals. That's $70 compared to the $35 up-front pay per-sign-up commission
that is the average price per sign up in the industry. And remember that
members tend to come back to the sites they liked in the past, especially when
we are doing everything to guarantee their satisfaction!
