Our future lies in our ability to preserve the natural environment we are

conservation is the reason Shawnee began its Green Meetings Program.
Some of our efforts include:
•Biodegradable cleaning products.
•Encouraging recycling.
•Requesting re-use of towels and sheets in guest rooms.
•Providing drinking water in large containers rather than individual bottles.
•Serving juice, ice tea and coffee in pitchers rather than individual containers.
• Purchasing and serving condiments in bulk.

Our 27-hole PGA championship golf course is also a proud member of Audubon
International. With their programs, we have designated several areas around
the course as naturalized bird sanctuaries, complete with nest boxes and wild

SHAWNEE TEAM BUILDING
The success of your organization relies on the cohesiveness of your team.
A team is a group of people working together towards a common goal. Your
team’s understanding of this process and the clarity of their common goal will
help to ensure success. Our staff can coordinate teambuilding events for your
organization. The programs below can help revitalize and bring your group
together utilizing our challenging and entertaining programs.
Golf Scramble Tournament
Assembled into four-person teams, 16 or more people can participate in a
tournament on our championship private island golf course or our 9-hole
Approach Course, lit for night play. This team building activity is successful
because it enables the beginner or the novice golfer to contribute to each team’s
success. Please allow at least two and a half hours for a Nine-hole event and five
hours for an 18-hole event. Includes scoring and wrap-up after the scramble.
Scavenger Hunt Along the Delaware
Teams strive to locate specified items while canoeing down the beautiful and
scenic Delaware River. This is a fun activity that allows you to work together
while relaxing and enjoying the natural setting. Please allow two and a half hours
for this event. Includes staff member for duration of event and post scavenger
hunt wrap-up.
You Can Be A Star
There is an actor in all of us. Teams will write a skit about your company or
a topic relevant to your organization. You will then provide a live
performance. This program is valuable in promoting each member to use
his/her product and company knowledge to entertain and/or teach others within
the organization. Please allow two and a half hours for this exercise. A staff
member will guide you through this program. Limited materials will be
provided for costumes, props, and settings.
Connecting with the Creative Process
Partaking in activities-expressive art therapy, your team will explore their
creative side using art materials, sound and movement. Workshop will be
geared to your organizational needs. No talent required. Please allow a
minimum of two hours for this exercise. An Art Therapist will lead your
team through this amazing process.

Traveling I-80 West, PA Exit 310 (New York City, North Jersey)
Take I-80 WEST towards Delaware Water Gap to the Pennsylvania toll.
After toll, take the first exit, #310 Delaware Water Gap. Follow ramp to
Welcome Center. At traffic light proceed STRAIGHT on to River Road. Go
under overpass, over railroad tracks and at stop sign proceed to the RIGHT.
Maintain on River Road for approximately 1.5 miles while passing
STRAIGHT through a traffic light. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will
be on your RIGHT hand side at the bottom of the hill.
Traveling I-80 East, PA Exit 310 (Columbus, Pittsburgh)
Take I-80 EAST to exit #310, Delaware Water Gap. At traffic light make
a LEFT onto River Road. Go under overpass, over railroad tracks
and at stop sign proceed to the RIGHT. Maintain on River Road for
approximately 1.5 miles while passing STRAIGHT through a traffic light.
The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will be on your RIGHT hand side at the
bottom of the hill.
Traveling from the North (Upstate New York, Boston, Hartford)
Interstate 84 WEST to PA Exit 10, Milford. Follow Route 6 EAST onto US
209 SOUTH. After approximately 20 miles, make a LEFT turn (off 209-S)
to Shawnee Mountain Ski Area onto Hollow Road. Proceed 2.5 miles past
Shawnee Mountain until Hollow Road dead-ends into River Road (directly
in front of you will be the Shawnee Playhouse). Turn RIGHT onto River
Road and the entrance to The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is 1/4 mile on
your LEFT.
Traveling from the South (DC, Baltimore, Virginia, Philadelphia)
Start on Interstate 95 NORTH, directly to I- 476 NORTH (PA Turnpike N.
E. Extension). Once on 476 NORTH go to US-22 EAST (Exit 56 Lehigh
Valley), to US-33 NORTH;which merges into I-80 EAST to PA Exit 310,
Delaware Water Gap. At traffic light make a LEFT onto River Road.
Go under overpass, over railroad tracks and at stop sign proceed to the
RIGHT. Maintain on River Road for approximately 1.5 miles while passing STRAIGHT through a traffic light. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort
