Extended Learning Opportunities TM Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation Engaging Students’ Minds and Bodies Our mission is to enrich the lives of students with wholesome, skill-building activities that improve academic performance, health and wellness, attitude towards school, self confidence, character and values, and opportunity for lifelong employment. Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is the largest provider of school-based after-school programs in New York City and the metro region, serving more than 25,000 students in more than 150 public schools. Some SASF programs are publically funded while others are school or parent-funded. As a result of decreased funding for free after-school programs in NYC, SASF created the Family Sustained Initiative (FSI). The FSI will provide a Champions Club afterschool program model with a balanced mix of academic support, sports and visual/performing arts activities at a low monthly cost. Questions?
