2001 FTA Motor Fuel Tax Section Annual Meeting 23-26 September 2001 Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn SD Division of Motor Vehicles Welcomes You to Rapid City! RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA Welcome to South Dakota! 75 Years of Service Greetings! It’s my pleasure to invite you to join us in Rapid City September 23-26, 2001 for the 75th Annual FTA Motor Fuel Tax Section Meeting. Each year we as government and industry representatives feel the impact of changes and advancements in the petroleum industry. The annual Motor Fuel Tax Section meeting offers us an opportunity to discuss these issues, develop plans for effectively dealing with them, and meet our counterparts in other jurisdictions. The 2001 meeting features an outstanding line-up of speakers and breakout sessions that will both challenge and inform you! For those of you who may not be familiar with Rapid City, it’s nestled in the midst of the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. No trip to our state would be complete without a visit to some of the wonderful sights and attractions in the area. Special events have been planned at historic Deadwood and the awe-inspiring Mount Rushmore, and wouldbe bikers will experience the rolling thunder of the world-famous Black Hills Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis at our Motorcycle Rally opening reception. In this Conference Registration Booklet, you’ll find an overview of the conference agenda including special events for conference participants; highlights of other area attractions; hotel and travel information; and a conference registration form we would like you to complete to ensure that your visit to South Dakota is a memorable one! For more information on the 75th Annual FTA Motor Fuel Tax Section Meeting, please feel free to contact Alana Gourneau or myself at the South Dakota Division of Motor Vehicles, 605-773-3541.
