RE: Letter of Resignation
Dr. Timmis,
It is with great heaviness that I’ve made the very difficult decision to submit to you my letter of resignation
from Dexter Community Schools. I have 9 years of service in an administrative capacity in Dexter, during
which time I have worked with very talented, wonderful administrators, teachers and other passionate and
talented staff, all of whom care deeply about student welfare and success. I have learned immense
amounts about leadership, education, and myself during my tenure. I couldn’t ask for a more rewarding and
wonderful place to be and I depart knowing that Dexter is going to continue on its pathways to success in
your hands.
It was quite exciting to work with the team that you built and to work with a leader who embodies the
intelligence, skills, and wisdom to work with individuals and help bring out their best, the courage to take on
challenges despite potential ramifications, and the compassion to understand the people with whom he
works. I have the utmost respect for your integrity and ability and I will certainly miss working with you.
I thank Dexter Community Schools for extending the trust in hiring me and for providing the wonderful
opportunities that I have had and wish nothing but future successes for everyone in Dexter.
With gratitude,
!
Tim Authier

Classroom Teacher Recommendation
September 8, 2015
As a result of our most recent interview process, we would like to recommend Anouk Weiss
for the third grade teaching position at Wylie. Anouk previously taught in New York as a
second and third grade teacher. Anouk also held long-term substitute positions in Saline and
at Cornerstone Elementary. She comes highly recommended by her colleagues and principal
in New York as well as Dexter teachers and parents. We would also like to recommend
Natalie Hanlon for the fourth grade teaching position at Wylie. Natalie previously taught
fourth and fifth grades in Airport Community School. Natalie comes high recommended by
her principal and teaching colleagues in Airport.
Our interview committee was comprised of: Kate Boynton, Megan Hedricks, Sandy Sloan,
Karen Eby, Marie Mills, Lori Basar, Krista Early, and Wylie fourth grade students. We highly
recommend Anouk and Natalie and feel confident that they will make a difference in the lives
of Dexter students for years to come.
Thank you,
Katie See
