Taking the concept of ‘no power, no problem’ to the next level, Valor
introduces a heat management system that redirects fireplace warmth
to a higher elevation in the room.
The Valor HeatShift System

building requirements and
utilized standard North
American building materials
Designed to reduce wall surface temperatures the Valor HeatShift System
is recommended, especially when adding a wall mounted TV or heat
sensitive material directly above the fireplace. Hidden within the wall
above the fireplace, front or side mounted duct systems direct heat upwards.
In essence, raising the heat outlet improves convection airflow reducing wall temperatures and improving overall performance.
Warm air is then circulated back into the room at a higher elevation.

3. Better heat exchange and superior
flow is created by “shifting” the hot air
outlets higher up the wall - increasing
comfort and decreasing wall temperatures directly above the fireplace.
2. Instead of the heated air flowing out
above the window, like in a traditional
design, it rises naturally through the Valor
HeatShift System - thus bypassing the
wall immediately above your fireplace.

An impressive method to harness convective warmth, up to 60%
of fireplace heat rises and flows through the Valor HeatShift System
and back into the room. The remaining fireplace warmth is in the
form of radiant heat emanating from the firebox.
1. Cool room air enters the front of
the fireplace and circulates around the
sealed, hot firebox - heating the air.
Compared to competitor alternatives that require electricity and a
noisy fan for operation, heat is elevated naturally using gravity and
Valor product ingenuity.
With heat transferred above, it is now possible to run non-combustible
finishing materials right up to the fireplace surround. Another great
feature, mantels may be installed at a ‘one to one’ ratio of thickness
to height from the fireplace surround when using Valor HeatShift.

Unlike many competitor products in the field, the Valor HeatShift
System utilizes standard construction techniques meeting code
requirements across North America.

Kit connects directly to both
38” & 48” Front Wall Plenum
Kits and is then ducted to a
separate space in the home for
multi-zone heat management.
Max. one 1270RBK per plenum.
Still looking to heat other areas in your home? The Valor HeatShift
System is also compatible with Valor’s Remote Blower Kit option designed to distribute warmth to other spaces in your home like
bedrooms, hallways or utility rooms.
The 1270RBK fan unit may be
positioned higher or lower than
the LDK plenum position.
