5th May, 2015
Welcome to Week 3! The term two calendar has been distributed and as you can see there
are some exciting events in store for our school.
Our Stage 3 students have returned from camp. Our Facebook posts included photos and
Mr Sinfield reported on the wonderful feedback we received regarding our school.
We are very proud of the students and teachers. They are an excellent reflection of our York
Public School community.
NAPLAN is next week. It will involve our Year 3 and 5 students only.

Our Annual School Report is now available on our website. It provides the community with
information on our 2014 year. We have also included our 2015-2017 school plan.
The plan is in its first draft and I am taking both items to our P & C meeting tonight.
I look forward to gaining feedback from our community.

Many thanks to all our volunteers who will be
assisting with the Mother’s Day Stall. Many people
are helping with the stall setup this afternoon and/or
being at the stall tomorrow morning. Thank you!
The P&C will be holding a massive fundraiser at the
end of this term. This will be a Dance-a-thon!
Mr
Sinfield has kindly agreed to host this event for us. It
will be similar to a walk-a-thon, with donation cards
being sent home. We will be hoping to raise money
to assist the school with placing air conditioner units
in the hall. This would be fantastic, especially with
York On Show at the end of the year. Please look
out for more information to come, watch this space!
A BIG thanks to Tracey Dunn who once again has
made many handmade gifts for the Mother’s Day
Stall.
Each item is handmade and very time
consuming. We are very lucky to have such a
talented and generous Mum at our school. A gift
donation from Diesel – 2VG was also received, many
thanks for this gift.
On behalf of the P & C I would like to wish all the
amazing Mum’s ‘A VERY HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY’.
And a big hug to all those very special Grandma’s
/Nanna’s as well. Enjoy being spoilt this Sunday.
The next P&C meeting is TONIGHT from 7.00pm in
the top staffroom and our next meeting will be held on
nd
Tuesday 2 June at 7.00pm.
