It was founded in 1959, when ASC - Auto Sueco
Coimbra was established as a Volvo car and
truck dealer in six districts of central Portugal.
With operations starting in 1959, the Group undertook a number
of decisive steps towards growth, being nowadays one of the
most important Volvo Construction Equipment independent
dealers worldwide.

Due to its expertise, Ascendum also serves its large customer
base in Europe and Africa with the “follow the costumer”
business solution.
“Follow the costumer” is a a customer support service geared
towards large companies as well as mid-sized contractors that
have their fleet working in countries where equipment is not
always available and they can’t find any kind of support service
for their fleet and parts.
Ascendum provides teams of experts with the capacity and knowhow to care and assist service and parts wherever the machines
are, namely Venezuela, Brazil, different African countries such as
Republic of Congo, Guinea, Cameroon, etc.
