Colonel Robert Darling. In October 2007, Lieutenant Colonel Darling retired from the United States
Marine Corps with just over twenty years of active duty service. He flew attack helicopters in Desert
Shield and Desert Storm during the first Gulf War and in Somalia, Africa, in support of Operation Restore Hope. In June 1998, he was selected to fly as a presidential pilot with Marine Helicopter Squadron
One and in October 2000, he was handpicked to work for the White House Military Office, Airlift Operations Department. It was in that capacity that Lt. Col. Darling supported the President, Vice President
and National Security Advisor in the President's Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) on September
11, 2001. In May 2002, he attended the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned his MBA in Financial Management and subsequently served as a Program Manager for the Chief of Naval Operations

government, and military organizations to include Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of
Government and as a guest lecturer on the subject of Crisis Leadership and Counterterrorism at the FBI
National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Brent Dixon. When Brent Dixon was a kid, he wanted to be a tractor. That didn't work out, and now
he's a designer, researcher, and educator based in Austin, Texas.
Brent has spent the last few years advising on behalf of The Filene Research Institute, a consumer
financial think-tank, and founding The Cooperative Trust, a grassroots network of hundreds of young
people fighting for the future of socially responsible finance. He was the 2012 Future of Finance
Teaching Fellow at Singularity University - an innovation incubator founded by NASA and Google and mentored 80 students from 36 countries on using disruptive technology to solve global challenges.
Brent has organized and facilitated workshops across three continents and worked with every major
credit union trade association in North America.
Outside of credit unions he works with Hackidemia, a mobile invention lab for kids, and is the ViceChair of The Cooperative Food Empowerment Directive, a network that empowers students to create

CPA firm specializing in the credit union industry. He is involved in all audit activities and works closely with the staff in training and development. He personally reviews all audit files and reports as part of

Mark Mayfield. It’s pretty simple what Mark Mayfield does: he talks about VERY serious stuff in a
VERY funny way. If you want to learn about change, or teamwork, or stress, or customer service for
example; why not have a great time doing it?
Known as “The Corporate Comedian”, he has merged together his corporate background as a lobbyist
and his comedy background as a nightclub performer to create an extremely unique and comedic
presentation style. His programs are content based yet comedy driven and he can also play the role of
an imposter if the meeting planner really wants to surprise the audience.
Mark is author of the popular book, Mom’s Rules, a comedic yet poignant look at those things Mom
said to us as kids, and has received the “Certified Speaking Professional” designation from the National
Speakers Association. He has also been inducted into their “CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame”.
From comedy shows to seminars, Mark’s philosophy is simple.....say it with humor and people will take
the message home. A national convention planner recently called Mark “one of the very few, really
funny, inspiring men in America today”. Mark’s mom also said that once after a small bribe.
Mark Mayfield
Frank Santucci. Mr. Santucci joined First Empire Securities, Inc. in September 1985 as a Fixed Income Specialist. Between 1985 and 1993 he worked with hundreds of institutional investors nationwide assisting them in the purchase and sale of fixed income securities.
In January 1994, Mr. Santucci was promoted to his current position of Senior Vice President and
Managing Director of Asset Liability Management Services. His primary responsibilities include the
administration of First Empire's Asset Liability Management Team and Financial Strategies Group and
the development of balance sheet and investment portfolio strategies for clients of the firm. Mr. Santucci is also the principal author of the Balance Sheet Management Services’ ALM Model. In addition, Mr. Santucci is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences on various ALM and risk
management techniques, as well as current industry trends.
Prior to joining First Empire, Mr. Santucci served as an Account Executive for Guardian Financial
Group, Huntington Beach, California, a financial services company specializing in investments and
insurance products for 401(K) and the defined benefit plans of Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Santucci pursued his higher education at the California State University of Long Beach, Long
Beach, California. He currently holds the following licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers:
Series 7, "General Securities Registered Representative.”
Frank Santucci
Series 63, "Blue Sky Laws - State Registration" ;
Series 24, "General Securities Principal.”
