Multiple Currencies
Feature Description:
The list of international currencies supported by Destiny dramatically increases in Destiny 10.0. The Region Format
feature offers 21 options for displaying dates, times, and numbers in Destiny. The Fine Currency feature includes 105

Region Format and Fine Currency are district settings. Region Format controls the display format for dates, times,
and numbers and Fine Currency controls fines.
To change the format of dates, times, and numbers based on region for the entire district:
•
Access the Destiny district home page.
•
Log in as the Destiny Administrator.
•
Click the Setup button in the upper right corner of the screen.
•
Ensure that the Site subtab is selected.
•

•
Click the Setup button in the upper right corner of the screen.
•
Ensure that the Site subtab is selected.

need to enter the appropriate fine values for lost copies.
•
To change the currency setting, you must have exclusive access to the Destiny database. No other users can be
logged in and no other processes can be running.
•
Reports may now use international currencies as values. However, reports that display totals containing a mix of
copy/title level currencies always display the Region Format for the currency, even if the copy/title level currencies
are the same.
Access Level:
Destiny Administrator
Importance:
Districts can choose one of more than 100 different international currencies for fines and 21 options for the display of
dates, times, and numbers based on regional preference.

Report Builder Column Changes
Feature Description:
To make important enhancements to features that affect international Destiny customers, it was necessary to modify
two internal columns: Patron Status and Copy Status. These changes may affect some of your previously saved Report
Builder reports.
Feature Information:
If you saved a report (prior to upgrading to Destiny version 10.0) that contains the patron or copy status field, you may
receive a column error message when you try to run or edit the report, as displayed in the screenshots below.
Follow the steps below to update and correct the columns in the report:
1. From the list of saved Report Builder reports, click the Edit icon next to the report you need to update.
2. On the Step 1 screen, reselect the Status option.
3. Click the next arrow through the remaining steps of the report setup.
• Please note: If the Status option is used in any of the subsequent steps, such as Report Limiters, the limiter is
removed unless you set the limiter again. An error message does not display.
4. Save and run the report.
You can now run or edit the report without error.
Report Builder reports that may be affected follow:
• Patron Reports: General Information, Transaction Summary, Current Checkouts, Current Fines/Refunds, Current

Improved Ability to Manage Recommendations and

addition, one access level permission was renamed and a second was revised to reflect their functions
more accurately.
Feature Information:
The former access level permission Approve/edit/delete recommendations has been changed to Process
unapproved recommendations to indicate more accurately what the permission controls.
The Moderate MyQuest conversations permission has been replaced by the permission Manage

Click the Hide button next to any recommendation that you would like to hide. The button changes to
a Show button, which you can click if you later decide to show the function.

Click the More button next to any MyQuest comments that you choose to manage. Click the Hide
All button to hide the whole conversation or the Hide button to hide an individual line of the
conversation.
