Bred for long life, Hawk Pd® provides virtually maintenance-free operation. The Wingprene™ elastomer compound is specially formulated
to resist tooth deformity and increase tooth rigidity. This universal tooth is designed to improve the life of the belt. Its innovative technology
that takes performance up a few notches.

The chemical stability of Wingprene™ resists the
effects of oils, coolants, heat and ozone. The
specially-treated fiberglass tensile member
provides length stability and fatigue resistance.
Designed for higher loads and abrasion resistance,
the tooth facing provides a reduced coefficient of
friction so that the belt meshes easier with pulleys.
The nylon facing is enhanced with Wingprene™ to
increase the load carrying capacity of the belt and
allow the teeth to transmit more torque.
Tooth profile
Whether it’s high speed or low speed applications,
the demands of synchronous belts put additional
strain on the belt and tooth surface. The UPD
tooth profile resists ratcheting and provides
accurate positioning for synchronous drive
applications. The upgraded Wingprene™ materials
enable the teeth to engage the sprocket smoothly.

To ensure proper belt selection, consult Goodyear EP power transmission engineering manuals for Hawk Pd® or BlackHawk Pd® belt drives. Due to the high load capacity of these belts, make sure that all
drive components are adequately designed. Consult sprocket manufacturer guidelines and recommendations and component manufacturer for design assistance or if verification of application is needed.
