All parents: Please install the
Schoolcomms Gateway App!
This is a very important communication tool. It allows
us to send text messages to parents and get replies at no
cost! This could be very useful in alerting you of things
like emergencies, school closures, ill or missing children and even special class events.
In order to use the Gateway App, you need to download
and install it from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
The set-up process is simple and will take no more than
a couple of minutes:
1. Search for “School Gateway” in the Apple App Store/
Google Play or on your phone go to www.schoolgateway.com/apple (Apple) or www.schoolgateway.com/
android (Android)
2. Install the app and if you are asked then say yes to
“Allow Push Notifications”
3. When you launch School Gateway for the first time,
please select ‘New User’ and enter the email address and
mobile telephone number you have registered with the
school
4. The system will send a PIN code to your phone;
please enter this PIN code and the app will be activated
for you.
As soon as you’ve got the system set-up, all of the text
messages we send you will appear in the app; you’ll receive notifications/alerts as normal.

Host Families Needed!
Cafe News
Request from the Pottery
The school has recently stepped back from
offering formal ‘boarding’ arrangements
for our foreign visitors and weekly ‘boarders’. We are now facilitating private hosting in order to enable students to continue
staying in local families. However, from
now on these will be private arrangements
between the two families. To this end, we
are looking for more families who are able
to host students or Kindergarten volunteers for anything between three weeks
and a term, or weekly from Mondays to
Fridays. Weekly hosting is £135 per week,
while you will be able to charge for any
other combination of days at £23 per
night. Enabling foreign students to visit our school is very enriching to them
and also brings many benefits to us as a
school, and many families who have had
these young people stay highly recommend the experience. Please contact me if
you would like further information! Steffi
Cook [email protected]; Tel 01923 264379
or 07712 669021.
All the cakes and cookies in the school
cafe are now sugar free. We use either
brown rice syrup,or maple syrup or coconut sugar as a sweetener. We only use organic flour, either spelt of gluten free, and
we use free range eggs. The flapjacks which
are delivered with the school lunches are
also white sugar free.
For any other information concerning
ingredients please e mail caroline261@
gmail.com – Caroline Howard
The school shop is now open Tuesday –
Friday 8.30-9am and 3.30-4pm; with an
early lunchtime opening Tuesday-Thursday 12-12.25pm. Come visit us and sit a
while on our stool, buy your Valentines
gifts and browse the books! Let us know
if there’s anything you’d like us to buy in,
we’re open to suggestions … Looking
forward to seeing you, Abi and Verity x
