WAY2PRAY - April 2016 Thao.pub
April 2016
C&MA Western Great Lakes District
Serving in Thailand
Tou & Tang Lee Thao
The Thao's are in Bangkok serving Jesus as Envision Site Coordinators with the C&MA. They
enjoy doing whatever it takes to move people closer to Jesus. Please pray with them and join
the Envision Bangkok Facebook group for more updates on what God is doing in Bangkok.
Praises:
- More people are joining the church and are growing in their faith.
- We had a wonderful leadership retreat/business meeting outside of Bangkok. This was super
helpful in laying down our foundation for the church plant. There is still much to go but very
thankful for what God is doing.

Prayer requests:
Selah, Abraham, Tou Lee
- Pray for our envision team as many are near their one-year commitment and deciding
whether to stay longer or not. Also for funding for them.
- Pray for our family: the kids started school last month and they have quite a bit of homework for 4 and 5 year olds. They are
learning Thai, Chinese and English. They are enjoying it but it does change our family time together.
- Pray also for Tang, she's working at the international school so the kids can go to school for free. If not it would be too expensive. Her 3 month probation period is coming up. She is also doing a lot of prep work so there is a lot on her plate.
- Pray for me as I adjust to how ministry looks like for this season. I help more at home now but also have my Envision and
church plant responsibilities. Pray for wisdom and strength.
Dan & Katie Kolins, in Terrassa, Spain ~ [email protected]
• Pray specifically for M, a literacy student who has suffered a lot of tragedy in her life recently and seems to be open to the gospel.
Katie and a teammate have been able to watch part of a film about Jesus with her. Pray that the Holy Spirit would use this film to
open her eyes and give her a desire to know more about who Jesus is!
• Pray for Dan’s relationship with Ab, B, and J, three young men that he has developed relationships with. Pray that he would be
able to clearly communicate the gospel to them.
Mark & Leah Long in Africa
• Praise God for the milestone reached: end of our first 3 year term and beginning of our 1-year home assignment.
• Pray for our team who is transitioning. Their ministries are handed off to others or put on hold while team members refresh, speak at churches, and visit home countries.
• Pray for Ana as she says goodbye to her daily playmate and Simon who is adjusting to new classes and gaining confidence.
• Pray for our ministries as we consider how to keep momentum behind initial spiritual awakening in some we minister to
during our absence.
S & W in Eastern Europe
• Thank the Lord for continued opportunities to disciple newer believers and invest in the lives of future leaders.
• We are grateful to the Lord for some clarification and direction for some of the ministries lining up for this Fall.
• We are grateful to the Lord for continued growth in the number of people participating in the church plant. We had a
wonderful Easter celebration at the end of March.
• Pray for the spiritual formation of M’s mother and daughter. While her daughter has been preparing for baptism, she is
not willing to go forward with it yet. Her mother refuses to come to any gathering of the church at this point and has shown little
spiritual growth in the past six months.
• Pray for the short-term team from Withee that will be serving alongside us and “M” from April 8-19. Pray for fruit in their witness
and leading from the Lord as they are also participating in two prayer walks.
• Pray for the church planter and his family. Pray that they would not grow discouraged in doing the work of the Gospel.

Valary & Mally McLoughlin, Viroflay, France ~ [email protected]
• Pray that we would have wisdom to speak the right words to our neighbor as we tell him what is about us that’s “ different” .
He asked and we want to be intentional and say it is in a way that he will understand.
• Pray for our region as we work on budgets this month. Pray that we would have wisdom to know how much we’ll need for
the next year.
• Pray that as I meet with my tutor. I would be grasping the language better but also that I would have opportunities to talk
with her about the Lord.
• Pray that Mally and I would grow closer to the Lord.
Tony & Raeni Roos, Paris, France ~ [email protected] (Fayth & Hannah)
• Pray for the number of people who have crossed our paths and heard the gospel truth but have not responded. Pray for
those who have yet to hear. Pray for those who are longing for Christ but have not yet realized their longing is for Christ.
• Pray for Fayth as she processes her transition.
• Pray for Hannah as she continues to struggle with school and transition.
• Pray for Raeni and I with 80 some days before we leave for the States and all the work we need to do to be ready for our
home assignment.
Valerie Stellrecht, Dominican Republic ~ [email protected]
• Praise the Lord for those who are graduating in April from FATELA, the Bible Institute and TEE.
• Pray for wisdom as I begin teaching the class on Vocational Ministry this month.
• Pray for the new believers class at the Encounter Church. Lissete received Christ after the first class. Some will be baptized this month.
• Pray for the churches that are preparing to begin Discovery Land soon with the children.
Sam & Jen Stemple, BFA in Germany ~ [email protected] (Jordan, Noelle, Matthew & Katrina)
• Pray for BFA as they look forward to Spring events...high school retreat, mission trips to 9 places around the world, soccer
season to start, and end of the year events for seniors. This time flies and I pray that we can take in each moment, and not waste it!
• Pray for our family as we prepare for home assignment in July. We feel torn...wanting to be in the US for a time, but also knowing that means goodbyes here! So would you pray for wisdom for the mundane tasks that need to get done, as well as the relational
part of things in closure here both for us and more importantly for Matthew (13) and Katie (11). And that God would prepare friendships in Ohio where we will spend the year, for schooling, and for peace of hearts in the transition.

B&M, C&S, E&C, R&M, S&K, T&H—Creative Access Workers around the World
B&M— Pray for our team of 4. We have a new family arriving with four children in April, and two new single gals arriving this
summer. Pray that God will enable the new workers to transition well, find housing, enroll kids in school, begin language and cultural
study, etc. Pray for love and unity in our team as we grow.
C&S - Pray for developing new friendships, and patience and flexibility as we adjust. Pray for “ C” ’s language study and language and cultural acquisition.
E&C—Pray for our new leadership roles for us. E will be the field director for our team this next year. Pray for major transitions on our team. Pray for our 3 kids. Pray for good friends and that they would grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
R&M - Pray for us as we have recently begun the process to adopt a little boy or girl in our city. Please remember us as we
navigate the system from this side of the ocean. We are asking that our little boy/girl would know the tangible love and security of our
Father until we can bring him/her home. Pray for our local friend's baby, “G”. She was born just over a month ago with an enlarged
kidney. Please ask for the Father's healing hand to be upon her so that surgery is not needed.
S&K - Praise God for several new Brothers and Sisters and new home Group streams getting started. Pray for our team to
mentor the home Group streams. Pray for fruit and follow-up from the J Film showings.
T&H - Pray for our transition this summer, where we will join with our teammates and begin ministry. Pray particularly for
“O” who will need to make new friends in a new city. Pray for the registration process of our NGO, and getting our new visas, necessary to move to a new city.
