e’re a family-friendly campground, perfect for
a week or a weekend in our charming sister
towns of Montague and Whitehall.
The family can enjoy the sandy beaches and sand
dunes of Lake Michigan just a short drive away.
Plus the sunsets over the lake are unbeatable! The
22-mile Hart-Montague bike path runs alongside the
campground and offers a unique way to access West
Michigan’s beautiful scenery. We’re also centrally
located to area attractions like 4th of July fireworks,
Cruz’in classic car show & parade, the Arts and Crafts
Show, and lots more.
You can peruse the Montague Farmers’ Market, have
dinner, take in a show at the Howmet Playhouse, and
top it off with an ice cream treat all without getting in
your car! We offer the best balance of a serene, natural
setting and the convenience of small town living.
White Lake is six miles long and nearly a mile wide
at its widest point. Because of its connection to Lake
Michigan, the variety of fish caught in the lake is
amazing. For the fisherman who seeks the big trophy,
there are salmon and lake trout weighing anywhere
from 10 to 50 pounds waiting to be caught in Lake
Michigan. Occasionally one of the big ones gets into
White Lake Channel and is caught by a fisherman
who is looking for nothing more than a lake perch
while fishing from the handicapped-accessible fishing
bridge just steps away from Trailway Campground.

road from beautiful White Lake, adjacent to the
world’s largest operational weathervane and the
22-mile-long paved Hart-Montague State Park
Bike Trail. It’s a pleasant walk to the business
districts of both Montague and Whitehall.
