please submit it no later than Monday at

The Year of Mercy begins this
Tuesday on the Solemnity of the
Immaculate Conception
Each week we will have questions on the
Sunday/Holy Day readings for you to discuss with
your family, friends, or just reflect on alone.
For this Sunday:
Adult: In what areas of your life do you
need God’s mercy & forgiveness
right now? What Advent practice
would help you in expressing your
repentance and seeking God’s
mercy?
Youth: What does it feel like to be really sorry for
your misdeeds and sins? How could you
go about seeking God’s compassionate
mercy and forgiveness?
For Tuesday:
Adult: How has faith in Jesus as the
compassion of God transformed your
life?
Youth: What are some of the teachings of Jesus
about mercy, compassion and
forgiveness that have helped you to grow
closer to God and other people?
Father Tom’s Scripture Classes
Sundays: Dec 6, 13, and 20th
9:40 - 10:40 AM
in Room A
Father Tom Perrin, SDS, will offer a series of three
Scripture classes entitled:
“The Compassion of Jesus
in the Gospel of Luke.”

Attention Alabama Taxpayers
A part of the Alabama Accountability Act allows
dollar-for-dollar state tax credits for
donations to approved SGOs (which also
qualify as 501(c) 3 organizations). Our
diocesan schools have partnered with
Scholarships for Kids. Please go to
www.alabamakids.net
to learn how to take advantage of this
unprecedented opportunity for Alabama
taxpayers and St. Ann School. Remember to
include “St. Ann School” on the memo line of
your check.
YEAR-END GIVING: Please remember our
parish and school when deciding on your endof-year donations. An envelope for Christmas
is included in your mailed envelope
packets. One-time donations can also be
charged to a credit card or special
arrangements may be made by calling the
parish Finance Office at (256) 353-2667. IRS
regulations require that donations must be
postmarked or received in person by Dec. 31st
to be credited to your 2015 Giving Statement
for 2015 tax consideration. Thank you for your
generosity.

Paul considered the Philippians to be valuable
and joyful partners with him in sharing the
Gospel as they had provided for his physical
needs when he was in prison. Similarly, we are
partners in Paul’s message when we share our
material blessings.
