2009 Race Schedule
WHO WE ARE...
The Wisconsin Kids Snowmobile Racing
Association (WKSRA) is a group of family orientated individuals geared towards
the promotion of youth snowmobile racing in North Central Wisconsin. Our
emphasis is to offer children an opportunity to have fun and enjoy the sport of
snowmobile racing in a safe, controlled and competitive environment.
WKSRA is sanctioned by the International Snowmobile Racing (ISR) guidelines.
For the last 17 years we have organized the WKSRA World Championship
Kitty Cat Racing event. We are very proud of this achievement and hope to
continue to provide this service for many years to come.
Racing is offered every Sunday from the end of December through March for
children ages 4-14. WKSRA race divisions are separated within three main
classes: Kitty Cats, 120’s and Jr Novice. Classes are divided into 15 divisions so
that all children can find a class to excel in, from the amateur racer to the more
seasoned pro. Top finishes of the day are recognized at the trophy presentation.
No kid goes home empty handed! Every child who participates receives a bag
full of goodies. Non-members are always welcome to come out and race with us.

The “Race for the Cup” series makes four stops. Each stop on
the tour will consist of 17 divisions. Special cups will be awarded
to the overall high points winner in each division at the final race
of the series in Weyauwega. All races will be part of the WKCR
and WKSRA 2009 regular season race schedule with the
following exceptions, the 2nd cup race at St. Germain (WKSRA
World Championship) will be a non-points race for WKCR regular
season points and the 4th cup race at Weyauwega (WKCR
State Championships) will be a non-points race for WKSRA
regular season points. The points for St. Germain &
Weyauwega will count towards the cup for both clubs.

KITTY-CAT CLASS
Wisconsin Kids Snowmobile Racing is
proud to feature perhaps the oldest yet
most kid friendly class of all. KC Amateur Stock and KC Stock are WKSRA’s
entry level divisions. Tight modification rules make these sleds fun and
exciting for the entry level driver and affordable to own and maintain.
KC Improved Stock offers a step up from the entry level kitty cat. An
inexpensive gear change to the stock Kitty-Cat increases speed. Here is
where you will find the up and coming stars. F3, Beginner F1, and F1
allow modifications to the chassis and motor which gives teams an opportunity to try different set-ups and strategies. Here you will find the
most seasoned veterans. The kids in the F1 division have performed unforgettable exhibition races at the opening of the Eagle River Derby
tracks World Championships “Friday Night Thunder”.
Recreational Motorsports
120 CLASS
120 Amateur Stock and 120 Stock are WKSRA”s entry level divisions.
They are affordable and fun. 120 Super Stock and Improved120 is a
step up. A gear change will increase speed not your budget.120 Improved
Lemans allows the driver to try their skills on a Lemans style race course.
Here you will find a good mix of veterans and up and coming stars. 120
Champ allows a race team to modify both motor and chassis within the
WKSRA guidelines.

JUNIOR NOVICE CLASS
This class is truly excitement for the older kids (10-13), who have some
experience with the Jr. Novice type snowmobiles. This class is allowed
to race on the Eagle River Derby track for the World Championships
event. The past champions of this class are now champions in the next
level of competition. USSA and WSA
JR Novice Champ and JR Novice Open divisions are for all snowmobile
makes and models (340-380) within the ISR guidelines.
JR Novice A/C (Arctic Cat) is the Arctic Cat only JR Novice division.
